Zoey Wade, a character in the Queen B series, is your roommate and one of Your Character's love interests. She is first seen in Book 1, Chapter 1.
Appearance
Zoey has brown eyes, black curly puns and dark skin. She wears a white lace blouse with a dark blue blazer decorated with pineapples and a short. She also wears a pair of gold earrings and necklace.
Personality
Zoey is a confident and socially-smart woman. As one of the "underdogs" (of new money instead of old money), she knows where she falls in the school hierarchy and doesn't attempt to change it until she meets you.
Background
Zoey grew up in Brooklyn, where her mother was in the music industry and her father was a senior manager at a bank. In middle school, she was arrested for shoplifting. She was peer-pressured into it by her friends who did it habitually, but she was caught the first time she tried, likely because of her race. They abandoned her there and Zoey got off with just a warning.
While her father climbed his way up the corporate ladder at the bank, even though he had more education than half of the staff combined, and her mother earned her position as a record producer, Zoey was told by her father that "these people" --her peers at Belvoire-- would treat her like dirt because she wasn't born with a silver spoon in her mouth. He told her not to forget that she is different.

Relationships
Your Character
On your first day at Belvoire, Zoey rescues you from the crowd of students when you have an argument with Poppy. She leads you to your dorm room, and reveals that she is your roommate. She explains to you the politics of the student population at Belvoire and like you, she is of "new money" and is therefore considered an underdog. To take Poppy down, she joins your posse.
Zoey is also one of your love interests. If you decide to pursue her or flirt with her, she doesn't mind if you also flirt or hook up with Professor Kingsley. She tells you that since you two are roommates, you two have the whole year to get to know each other. She also enjoys your flirtatious behavior.
- "You are Poppy."
- —Zoey to Your Character[1]
In Chapter 11, you discover that Zoey is the subject of Poppy's "human sacrifice" ritual at the bacchanalia minutes before it happens. When you run down to save Zoey, you are too late and Zoey is humiliated, vultures throwing glasses of wine and tomatoes at her. You two leave the Zeta house, and when you mention that you just found out about it, she gets mad that you didn't tell her. She further expresses she should have seen it coming as you got closer to Poppy's inner circle. No matter which path you pursue (good girl or bad girl), she will tell you that "You are Poppy." and leave your posse.
In Chapter 13, after days of you apologizing and she giving you the cold shoulder, you take Professor Kingsley's advice and stop making excuses. You tell her what she means to you and apologize for hurting her, saying that even if she doesn't forgive you, she deserves to hear your apology. If you helped Poppy give Chase McGovern a tour, you introduce her to him and give her a signed jersey as an apology gift. She forgives you and rejoins your posse.
You fill her in on what's been happening, mainly that Poppy is blackmailing you with pictures of you and Professor Kingsley and that Dean Steinhelm has assigned you and Poppy to plan the upcoming gala. To destroy the pictures, you and Zoey can either send her a fake invite to a tech-free spa experience or you can have Zoey pretend that she wants her help getting revenge on you. If you choose the first, you borrow some Belvoire University letterhead from Professor Kingsley's office to draft the invites and make them look official. If you choose the second, Zoey pretends she has dirt on you running a barbershop quartet for goats. Both ways force Poppy to leave her cellphone in her room and available to you to delete the photos from her device and the cloud.
Poppy Min-Sinclair
In Chapter 1, Zoey states that she hates Poppy Min-Sinclair in a matter-of-fact way, and she enjoys watching whenever someone stands up to her. In Chapter 2, Poppy gives you the chance to ditch Zoey, but you decline by either agreeing that Zoey is "deadweight" but you'd rather keep her or by defending Zoey to her.
In Chapter 11, you find out the subject of Poppy's "human sacrifice" ritual is Zoey. Poppy announces the the partygoers that Zoey has a juvenile record for shoplifting, embarrassing her to their peers.
Ian/Ina Kingsley
It is unknown if Zoey attended one of Professor Kingsley's classes in the past, but she knows Professor Kingsley's classes are fun and tells you so. If you become intimate with Professor Kingsley in Chapter 1, you tell her in Chapter 2. If you had been flirting with Professor in Chapter 1, she teases you that half of the university wants Professor Kingsley but you're the one that he/she wants in Chapter 2.
Depending on how far you take your flirtations and romance with both Professor Kingsley and Zoey, Zoey will either keep encouraging you or feel saddened if you tell her you want a serious relationship with Kingsley in Chapter 9.
Liam Gill
In Book 2, Chapter 10, when you and Zoey are trying to figure out X's identity, she goes to Liam's charity to keep an eye on him. In Chapter 11, if you and Zoey decide to play Spin the Bottles at the Alphas' party, Zoey will kiss Liam if you tell him that someone will kiss him instead of Veronica. She tells him not to read too much into it.
