Zaira, a character in the Foreign Affairs book, is a student at Vancross Institute and one of your classmates. She is first seen in Chapter 2.
Appearance
Zaira has brown eyes, short brown hair with bangs, and light skin. She wears a black camisole under a translucent black blouse, a black and white choker, and black dangling earrings.
Personality
Zaira has the reputation of being a prankster at Vancross, and has a keen eye for detail. Last year, she stole the dean's car piece by piece and put it back together on the roof her office; this almost caused her to be expelled from the institute. She thinks the prank was hilarious despite Evelyn's misgivings.
Despite her wild streak, Zaira is not personable or relatable when faced with public speaking. She comes off as unemotional and robotic, even though she cares about the civil unrest going through her country. She uses sarcasm as a shield out of instinct, but understands that it makes people think she isn't serious.

Relationships
Your Character
You have Zaira in your World History and Etiquette classes. Depending on your choices, you can increase your Diplomacy points with her and make her an ally. When your scandal hits, if you gained her support, she tells you to reign in your frustrations at the reporters. She says if you take it out on them, they'd consider it winning the lottery.
If you gained enough support, she tells you at the Peace Summit that she first thought you were another arrogant rich kid who had been coddled all your life. Now, she thinks of you as a rich kid who has been coddled but isn't arrogant and she is happy that you're on her side.
Evelyn
When Evelyn points out to her that keeping her pinky up while drinking tea is considered rude, Zaira retorts that maybe she's trying to be rude.
Dionne
Dionne introduces Zaira to you at the annual Soiree of Nations party.
Peter Wallace
Zaira is paired with Peter for their World History group project, much to her chagrin. If you decide to help Evelyn and Dionne resolve their differences, they win the debate against Zaira and Peter. If you don't, Zaira and Peter win the debate.
Luca Castell
Luca is Zaira's older brother. He has higher standards for Zaira because she is a part of the ruling family, but he has lost sight of the fact that they are family. They used to be really close when they were younger, and Zaira fondly remembers him being her best friend, protector, and older brother all rolled into one. However, when their parents died and he had to grow up faster, their relationship changed. Zaira is expected to follow in his footsteps, but she feels she is also in his shadow. It took her a little time to decide that she does want to get involved with the politics, and she thinks they would work better together if he listened to her. If you decide to help Zaira stand up to her brother, she calms down and speaks to him rationally.
