Relationships
Carpenter
Carpenter is Yvette's parent. Since her mother, Iris, passed away, Yvette has become more protective of Carpenter's life, and dislikes most of his/her romantic prospects. Ever since she was six, she and Carpenter have the tradition of visiting the fair every year where they sample all the available foods and declare a winner. The winning food is then what they eat for the rest of the fair. From Chapter 10 onwards, Yvette gets more and more involved with your and Carpenter's sleuthing. When Yvette wants to officially join your investigation, Carpenter is wary to let her because this may put her in danger but then lets her join.
Your Character
Recognizing the kind of potential relationship you have with her father/mother, Yvette initially acts coolly towards you but can warm up to you a little if you join her and her father/mother when they go to the fair, letting you in on one of photos. Regardless of choices, she continues to be suspicious of you, but Carpenter says you are making actual progress with her, mentioning that she did eat all the waffles you made for your shared breakfast. Starting from Chapter 10 onwards, Yvette gets more and more involved with your sleuthing due to her technical knowledge, especially her hacking skills. In Chapter 13, she indirectly states to approve of you, but warns you not to break Carpenter's heart. After your house burns down, she offers you a glass of the strawberry lemonade that she was so protective of during your first meeting. When Carpenter and she offer to let you stay with them until your house is rebuilt, you spontaneously hug her and are surprised when she returns the hug. As of Chapter 16, she officially approves of you, seeing how much happier Carpenter is because of you, and also gives you relationship advice to not take it too slow. She later officially joins your investigation to help you catch Valerie's killer.
