Your Character in Wolf Bride is the main protagonist of the Wolf Bride book.

Although her default name is "Selene Russet", the player can choose to name her as they wish.

Appearance

Your appearance is customizable according to the player's preferences. According to Zane, you look like your father.

Personality

While much of your personality depends on your allegiance and your choices, for the most part you can be described as fearless, as you don't hesitate calling out people who treat you or others badly. You also have a soft spot for animals, and you are willing to fight for those you care about and for what's right.

Background

Before the events of the book, you used to live with your parents back in Philadelphia. Because your mother hated Hunt's Peak and refused to tell you why she left, you decided to visit the town without her knowing to get answers. Upon arriving to Hunt's Peak you start having weird dreams, and you eventually discover what is going on in the town, and why your parents decided to leave.

Relationships

Alpha Werewolf

Before you arrive at Hunt's Peak, you had dreams about the forests and the wolves of the area. You feel "bonded" to Alpha, who is one of your Love Interests. He teaches you about the Pack and their ways, including the history your mother refused to tell you.

If you ask Alpha if he knew your mother, he states that he was very young when she left and he never met her. This infers that you are younger than him, and by extension, younger than Werewolf Hunter.

Werewolf Hunter

When you arrive at Hunt's Peak, you also feel a pull towards Werewolf Hunter, who is also one of your Love Interests. She doesn't appear afraid of Alpha or his Pack, but is surprised by the bond between the two of you. When Noemi tells you the truth about Hunter, she explains that because you are bonded to the Pack Alpha, you are bonded to both Alpha and Hunter.

Layla

You meet Layla in town and later see her at the Den, where the Pack resides. She is a wolf-kin like you, and helps you navigate the Pack.

Noemi

When you meet the Pack, Alpha tells you that Noemi is their Speaker. In Chapter 3, if you decide to accompany Layla to the mine healing and decide to chant with them, Noemi tells you that you have a connection to the Primal land and could have become a powerful Speaker yourself if you were a werewolf.

Powers and Abilities

  • Lucid Dreaming: Even before meeting Alpha Werewolf, you have dreams of Alpha Werewolf. A dialogue option in Chapter 1 hints at Alpha being aware and part of the dreams but he didn't know you were driving at the same time as having the latest dream. You later have a lucid dream with Werewolf Hunter that you can continue in a premium scene.
  • Mystic Bond: In Chapter 2, you and Alpha Werewolf are officially bonded. This bond allows you to communicate with him telepathically while he fights Jett over the position as Alpha and to also feel what he's feeling even if there's a long distance between the two of you.
  • Night Vision: In Chapter 3, you can choose to acquire Night Vision, allowing to see more clearly at night. If you decline it, you will keep your human sight.
  • Animal Speech: In Chapter 4, you can choose to acquire the ability to communicate with animals.
  • Wolf Strength: In Chapter 7 during the attack on the town during a full moon, you have the option to acquire Wolf Strength.

Trivia

  • A version of MC is shown on the cover of Wolf Bride.
  • The book reuses three of the female faces from the Bloodbound series.
  • A potential Chapter 1 thought tells that she hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
  • A premium scene in Chapter 10 can tell that she took a self-defense class long ago.
  • In Chapter 10, Alpha Werewolf tells you he suspects you to be a true Wolf Bride, a once-in-a-generation wolf-kin woman who can turn into a full wolf and still carry children. To confirm if you have a wolf inside you, he brings you to the heart of Primal magic where you drink a herbal brew that opens the mind to visions from the Primal magic. During the vision, you temporarily turn into a wolf before waking up, confirming Alpha's assumption.
    • This is further proven as you can obtain a wolf form in Chapter 13 and a Primal form in Chapter 15 (premium options), meaning you become a werewolf.
    • If you don't acquire any premium powers or abilities, you will be referred to by the game as "purely human" in Chapter 16.
  • If your character decides to be with at least Alpha Werewolf in Chapter 16, she will subsequently gain the title of Alpha.
