Relationships
Sam Dalton
Sam Dalton is your employer and love interest.
In Chapter 1, you meet Sam at his/her offices in Dalton Enterprises, where he/she invites you to his/her home to meet his/her sons and conclude the second part of your interview. Sam is impressed by how you handle yourself with the boys and quickly hires you. In Chapter 2, however, Sam is displeased by you breaking his/her rule(s) regarding taking the subway, and if you allow the boys to have their Toaster Tarts. Raging at you, he states that he just wants you safe. You can then choose to kiss Sam at the kitchen counter. Shortly after, you learn that Sam is engaged to Sofia Russo, though he/she tells you later that he/she does not love her.
During the course of your relationship, you can remain professional or flirty and take opportunities to romance Sam. If you fight your feelings for Sam and avoid most times to be alone with him/her, inevitably, you two will kiss in Chapter 12.
If you romance Sam, you two can become intimate beginning with Chapter 12's premium scene. If you do not romance Sam fully, you are still emotionally invested in your relationship and with the Dalton family. Sam tells you that he/she cannot leave Sofia because he/she wants to leave Dalton Enterprises to Mickey and Mason as their birthright. The only way to ensure it is to marry Sofia and merge their companies.
In Chapter 19, after you catch Sofia and Robin making out, she exposes your affair in front of everybody. Though Sam defends you, you feel it will be better if you stepped out before it's too late. Sending Sam one last message and having one last meal with the boys, you head towards the airport.
By the end of Book 1, however, he/she rushes to the airport to find you just before you go to board your flight. Sam tells you that he/she abandoned Sofia at the altar, thereafter which you can choose to hear about the events from Mickey. Shortly after, the both of you head on a vacation with Carter and the boys, and make out.
Throughout Book 2, you and Sam wonder how to make your relationship public. But when things stagnate, you cannot take it anymore and either break up with Sam or say you are on a break. You reconcile shortly afterwards and make the relationship public. By the end of Book 2, Sam and the boys finally propose to you, which you accept happily. Things get complicated when Addison, the twins's mother returns. In Book 3, you and Sam plan your wedding and in Chapter 6, you can choose if you want to take on Sam's last name, how the twins should address you after the wedding, and if you and Sam want to have children together.
Mickey and Mason Dalton
Mickey and Mason are the twin boys that you are hired to take care of. As children, they test you and your resolve to follow rules or bend them. In Chapter 2, if you decide to go to Central Park, they reveal their feelings about Sofia to you. During the course of the book, Mickey and Mason become emotionally dependent on you. They love you and wish you were marrying their father/mother instead. They finally get their wish by the end of Book 2, when Sam finally proposes to you. However, things get complicated when their mother returns. In Book 3, Chapter 6, the twins have a nightmare that they may not be able to reach you. You comfort them by saying you won't leave them. Later in the chapter, you determine together with Sam how the twins should address you after the wedding, with the options being mama, auntie, and your first name.
Jenny
Jenny is your best friend. She helps you pick out premium dresses and is your sounding board when you need to vent to her about your relationship with Sam and how Sofia treats you.
