Darian Vail
Darian is your love interest. The two of you meet on a flight to the destination wedding of your best friend Lucia to your ex Shannon. You open up to Darian about having ended things with your boy/girlfriend Alex right before boarding the plane, and you admit to being afraid of having to explain why you've showed up to the wedding unexpectedly single. When you get the idea to have Darian pose as your significant other for the week, he/she is initially resistant, but ultimately agrees. Upon meeting up with the wedding party, however, you're shocked to discover that Darian is Shannon's hated half-sibling.
Shannon Ferrol
Shannon is your ex and was your last serious relationship. You chose to end things because you felt you weren't good enough for him/her, but the two of you have remained on good terms since your breakup. You introduced Shannon to your best friend Lucia and have no hard feelings over their relationship, as you genuinely believe they're perfect for each other.
Lucia Casales
Lucia has been your best friend since childhood and is your favorite person in the world. You'd do anything for her, and a big part of why you roped Darian into pretending to be your date to Lucia's wedding is to keep her from worrying about your lack of romantic prospects.
Alice Casales
Alice is Lucia's mom. She's never liked you or treated you kindly, not even when you were a child, and you're so afraid of her constantly-negative judgment that you sometimes react to it with physical nausea.
