Although her/his default name is "Blake Clarke", the player can choose to name her/him as they wish.
Appearance
The appearance of your character is up to the player. You can choose gender, skin tone, facial features, and hairstyle.
Personality
Although the exact personality is up to the player, Your Character is generally ambitious, passionate about hockey, and has a competitive side, which is first demonstrated when Your Character challenges Hockey Star to a shootout. In Chapter 4, Your Character can tell Adesh that he/she memorized Blades stats from the last 30 years, showing his/her dedication.

Hockey Star
Hockey Star is the captain of the hockey team you are reporting on and your love interest. Hockey Star is initially wary of you because of his/her previous experiences with reporters. You finally earn his/her respect when you challenge him/her to shootout even if you don't win. You are drawn to each other and as the story progresses, you grow closer and ultimately kiss. A relationship would endanger your job so it has to be kept secret.

- Male Hairstyle 4 was previously only used by the college-age version of Male 3 Blake Marshall from First Comes Love.
- A female version of your character is shown on the cover of Hot Shot.
- If the default name is kept, he/she shares the same name as Blake Yasuda from Rules of Engagement and Blake Marshall from First Comes Love.
