Winston, a character in the Foreign Affairs book, is Your Character's mother's political advisor. He is first seen in Chapter 1.

Appearances

Winston has brown eyes, short graying hair, and tan skin. He wears a white dress shirt under a dark gray pinstripe blazer, with a red, white, and blue striped tie and silver handkerchief.

Personality

He initially comes across as encouraging and supportive of you and your mother. Later, he reveals that after his father was killed in Ardona during a routine deployment, he went into politics to avenge him and wanted Rutherland to go to war with their centuries old rival. Feeling that your mother was too committed to peace, he set up the various scandals to undermine her re-election campaign and get Lewis Wright elected into office. Relationships

Your Character

He is your mom's political advisor who along with your security detail takes you to Vancross Institute. When your mom was on the campaign trail before her first term, he suggested that you help promote your mom's image and make her seem like a regular soccer mom. Presently, he gives you advice on how to handle the press and paparazzi, helping you spin your image and reputation to what would be beneficial for your mother.

When you and a love interest are caught on camera by the paparazzi, Winston stays nearby to advise you on how to handle the scandal. He is pleased when you speak with dignity and propriety, and is slightly surprised and startled if you choose to speak bluntly or with wanton abandon. He encourages you to spend time with your secret "lover" and is curious about his/her identity, but he doesn't press the matter.

At the Peace Summit, you approach him to talk about going public with your relationship with your love interest. He walks you out of the embassy and into its gardens away from the party, telling you that he doesn't think he can trust your judgement on such matters. When he starts to list the tabloid pictures, your fake relationship (with either Alexei Vukoja or Evelyn Kassis), firing Remi Miller as your head of security, and your act of graffiti with Blaine Hayes (default) or fake sex tape (premium), you realize that he could not have known about the last part unless he was in league with Lewis Wright.

With the pretense lifted, he admits his role in everything, including intentionally mishandling your damage control after the tabloid pictures were released. He knew if he could get Lewis Wright into office, war against Ardona would be inevitable. When you try to escape him, you fight him off long enough for your love interest to arrive. He/she promptly subdues him and you three exit the gardens, letting your guards handle him and telling your mother what happened.

Melissa

Winston is Melissa's political advisor, who has been working for her since before her first term. She trusts him to know the best course of action to gain voters and ensure her reelection.

When his role in your scandal comes to light, he tells you that you are like your mother, always two steps behind. He tells you when he was younger, his father was killed in a routine deployment overseas near an old Ardonian base. To avenge his death, Winston entered politics and climbed his way into an advisory role to push his agenda. He supported your mother at first because he believed she would be the strong leader that Rutherland needed. However, when your mother decided to push for a Peace Summit instead of all-out war, Winston knew he had to take matters into his own hands and stop her from achieving it.

Tatum Mendoza

In Chapter 14, Tatum Mendoza mentions to you that he had put in a reassignment request months ago that was just recently approved.
