Vince Zhang, a character in Dirty Little Secrets, is a student, Sadie's pool boy, and one of her flings. He is first seen in Chapter 6. He is later revealed to be Valerie Wright's killer.
Appearance
Vince has short black hair, brown eyes, and light skin. He wears a orange polo shirt.
Personality
Vince is friendly and laid-back and does not seem concerned with neighborhood politics. He's quite popular among his fellow college students, as evidenced by the fact that his frat brothers and cheerleader friends agreed to help him with Sadie's car wash for free. He is also extremely subservient to Sadie, as shown when his attempt to join his peers in defecting to your car wash was immediately abandoned when Sadie ordered him to return to hers. Sadie described him as "loyal to a fault but needy" in her little black book.
Background
Vince used to be Valerie Wright's pool boy before he was poached by Sadie. According to Detective Lawson's dossier, this incident began the rivalry between the two women.

Relationships
Sadie Hotchmitch
Vince is one of Sadie's lovers, and he seems to be very devoted to her. Sadie, on the other hand, seems to value their relationship mostly because of its additional side benefits. She often leverages their affair for personal gain, such as when she provided sexual favors to Vince so his dad would do repair work on her property. She also frequently has Vince rope his college friends into helping with events like her campaign kickoff dinner and car wash fundraiser.
Despite all Vince does for her, Sadie's opinion of him is not very high. She wrote in her black book that she would only consider marrying him as a trophy husband if he were able to draw a six-figure salary. You also hear her call him a brainless bag of muscles behind his back. In Chapter 19, it's revealed that he's obsessed with her and would do anything for her, viewing himself as her "guardian angel".
When Sadie discovers this and Vince is hauled away in handcuffs, he asks her to wait twenty years for him and that he'll keep fit in prison. She crushes his heart when she tells him that she won't.
Your Character
You first become aware of Vince when you and Carpenter inadvertently witness one of his weekly "appointments" with Sadie while you're snooping through her house. You formally meet Vince when he and his frat brothers are working as waiters at Sadie's campaign dinner. He's confused as to why you recognize him, but Carpenter covers for you by claiming you must have seen each other in passing. Vince does not share Sadie's hostility towards you, and instead easily welcomes you to the neighborhood with promises to introduce you to his frat.
Valerie Wright
In Chapter 13, you learn from Detective Lawson's dossier that Vince used to be Valerie's pool boy before Sadie enticed him to work for her instead by sunbathing nude within view of Valerie's backyard. When Valerie caught Sadie pleasuring Vince poolside, she attempted to retaliate by writing up Sadie's cracked driveway as an HOA violation. However, Sadie simply continued granting Vince sexual favors so his father's construction company would repave her driveway for free. It is not known whether Vince's relationship with Valerie was similar to his relationship with Sadie.
