Vee, a character in the Across the Void book, is the Main Character's virtual assistant. Vee is first seen in Across the Void, Chapter 1.
Appearance
Vee is a small round orb, with four circular units (two on each side of her face plate), and two thrusters shaped like pigtails. It wears pink bows, one on each thruster, and has purple detailing along its "forehead" and where eyebrows or cat's ears would be. Its face plate has two pink neon eyes, which usually change depending on its emotions. It is small enough to hover over Main Character's shoulder, and bump against his/her cheek.
Personality
Vee is said to have taken the personality of a fashion designer, therefore being obsessed with fashion and designing main character. She is basically a “closet”, but she can also scan vital signs (as she did with the Apri pilot) and remind main character of his/her schedule.

Relationships
Main Character
Although Vee is obsessed with fashion and giving Main Character many options, Vee also is interested in expanding his/her love life, giving hottie alerts with most of the potential love interests. Vee helps build his/her self-confidence if s/he starts questioning him/herself, and acts as a confidante. It also objects when s/he seems excited talking about upgrades (as Eos mentions he got some to his Cyber matrix), but seems relieved when Main Character tell it that s/he meant "internal" upgrades.
Eos
Vee can patch into Eos' internal VSS. In Chapter 19, she tells Main Character that he is no longer on Ocana but parsecs away in uncharted territory.

Trivia
- In Chapter 2, Main Character mentions to Holmes that it is impolite to address a Cyber's VSS. But since Vee doesn't mind, he compliments her bows.
- While other Cyber have an internal VSS matrix, the VSS-3 has a physical external representation.
- It is revealed in Chapter 11 that Vee doesn't have any defensive software.
- In the final chapter, if Aquari was left behind for the Void, she is ordered to drown Vee.
