James "Trey" Tibideaux III, a character in the Inheritance series, is your former lover, the son/daughter of your father's business partner, and one of your current love interests. He/She first appears in Chapter 1.
Appearance
Trey's gender and appearance are determined by the player.
Personality
Trey typically has a flirtatious, laid-back demeanor which masks both extreme savviness about the business world and high levels of cynicism about the people who inhabit it. He/She is able to read people easily, but also gives the appearance of keeping that knowledge to him/herself until it's time to use it. Although Trey is ambitious, he/she is also aware of how badly power can corrupt and is careful to avoid letting the desire for it become a primary motivation.
Background
Trey grew up the child of Vitality's co-founder James Tibideaux and began learning all the ins and outs of the tech industry at an early age. By the time he/she had reached college, Trey began to understand that achieving early success at Vitality wouldn't be possible while James and Theodore Vitale held power. He/She abandoned all pre-existing plans to advance within that company, moved to New York, and started an entirely new business. Despite holding a seat on Vitality's board due to his/her status as a founder's child, Trey has maintained only nominal ties with the company for the past ten years.

You became lovers for a few months in college, but Trey tired of waiting for success at Vitality and abandoned both college and your relationship in order to strike out on his/her own. When you reunite for the first time in a decade in Chapter 1, Trey admits that wasn't his/her finest moment. He/She further admits in Chapter 2 that he/she once loved you more than almost anything, and he/she is determined to help you become CEO because of that lingering affection.
