Uncle Tommy, a character in the Crimes of Passion series, is your uncle and a retired policeman. He is first mentioned in Book 1, Chapter 2 and first seen in Chapter 3.
Appearance[]
Uncle Tommy has brown eyes, a balding head surrounded by grayish, brown hair, and a chevron mustache. He wears a gray plaid button down shirt and olive blazer.
Personality[]
Throughout the story, Uncle Tommy is shown to be sweet and thoughtful, as he forgave Matty for stealing from the bar and therefore did not prosecute him. He also supports your ambitions because he knows you looked up to your father as a role model.
Background[]
Similar to your father and you, Tommy used to work in law enforcement before owning a bar. He also had worked with Mafalda in the past. In Book 1, Chapter 7, he mentions that he was a detective for 25 years. After Jimmy was murdered, Tommy went rogue and didn't have time for red tape and bureaucracy. Because of this, he was "encouraged" to leave the police force.
In Book 3, Chapter 2, you discover that he had become obsessed with solving Jimmy's cold case, looking through all his old case files and putting together a suspect board of known mafiosos and criminals that have ties to the mafia.

Relationships[]
Your Character[]
He is your uncle. Although he supports your endeavors, he is concerned about your safety. In Book 1, Chapter 17, he lightly scolds you for freeing Tony Kowalski and confronting Eleanor Blake without back up. You gave him anxiety and he tells you not to do that to him again, especially when you're all that he has left. He also tells you that when you're ready to figure out what happened to your dad, he is ready too. In Book 3, Chapter 1, he is killed by a gunman working for Viola "Big V" Scarlotti and you vow to take the whole crime family down.
Mafalda Ginovesi[]
Mafalda worked with him in the past. If you spent time in Chapter 3 bonding with your crew, when Trystan asks you to describe Mafalda, you tell him that Uncle Tommy would call her a "hard ass", which she agrees.
Matty Maldonado[]
Matty is the dishwasher at his bar. After his bar was trashed and he realized Matty was missing, Tommy suspects the younger man was involved in the robbery. When Matty's mother, Sofia, comes to the bar and mentions that she borrowed money from Niko "The Butcher" Borodin, Tommy agrees with you that Niko is probably involved in Matty's disappearance and the robbery.
When Matty releases you and Trystan from the freezer Niko trapped you two in, Matty admits that he was working for Niko in an attempt to pay off his mother's loan. Niko had found out that Matty worked for Tommy at the Drunk Tank, and told the younger man if he knocked over the place, Niko would wipe Matty's mother loan clean. The money Matty stole was a front, and Jimmy's gun and badge was a f-you to Tommy. The true objective was Tommy's W-2s[1], his tax forms, which Niko planned to give to the Solonik Crime Family to commit synthetic identity theft. When you and Trystan foil their plans and have them arrested, Matty returns to the Drunk Tank with you two and apologizes to Tommy. Tommy forgives him and decides not to press charges against him.
Jimmy Rose[]
According to Tommy's dossier, he and your dad were a great team while working together on the force. Jimmy was able to keep Tommy grounded, as the latter would hyper fixate on small details. After Jimmy died, there was no one there to be able to keep Tommy from diving deep into cases, thus causing his work to be negatively impacted.
Tommy's sister and Jimmy really hit it off and her death brought the two closer. Per Jimmy's will, Tommy became your legal guardian after his death.

Trivia[]
- His character model resembles a director from Laws of Attraction, Book 1.
- He shares the same name as Tommy Walsh from Veil of Secrets, Tommy Phelps from Red Carpet Diaries, Book 2, Tommy Harrington from A Very Scandalous Proposal, and Tommy Danes from Terror Fest.
- He shares his surname with Jessica Greene from Most Wanted, Book 1 and Elijah Greene from Open Heart.
- Tommy is referred to as Tommy Rose or Mr. Rose multiple times in Book 1, such as in Chapter 7 by Trystan and Matty, and potentially Chapter 11 by Mayor Brigham. That would make him your paternal uncle. Book 3 retcons this with the release of his dossier, changing Tommy's surname to Greene and making him your maternal uncle instead.
