  • On September 30, 2019, PB teased that some upcoming holiday specials for a few beloved series were in the works.[1]
  • On October 4, 2019, in the October edition of Choices Insiders, it was announced that this series will be getting a holiday special that is scheduled to be released in the Fall.[2]
  • On October 30, 2019, PB announced that this book would take place after the events of The Royal Romance, Book 3, but before the events of The Royal Heir.[3]
    • They also revealed the official title of the book and the premiere date to be November.
  • The release date was revealed on November 8, 2019, in the Choices Insiders mail which also includes a sneak peek.[4]
    • They later unveiled the book's cover.[5][6]
  • They later released the Chapter 1 description on November 10th.[7]
  • On November 11, 2019, they released a second sneak peek.[8]
  • On November 22, 2019, PB released a sneak peek for Chapter 2.[9]
    • During the IG livestream, The Royal Holiday writers confirmed that the book will have 4 chapters.
    • Lythikos Nog is based off of Tibetan Butter tea.
  • On December 6, 2019 PB released a sneak peek for Chapter 4.[10]
