The Royal Finale is the fourth and final book of The Royal Heir series. It is alternatively called The Royal Heir, Book 4. It succeeds its first three books, The Royal Heir, Book 1, The Royal Heir, Book 2 and The Royal Heir, Book 3. It is also the seventh and final book of the entire The Royal Romance series that started on April 13, 2017.

- The book was confirmed in-game at the end of The Royal Heir, Book 3; this book is also known as "The Royal Finale" according to the January 2021 Insider.
- It was also confirmed this would be the final book of the series.
- On July 16, 2021, the thumbnail was released with the first chapter synopsis (and the release date being July 28). It is referred to as "Book 4" ("The Royal Heir, Book 4") in the first chapter synopsis, but also as "Book 7" ("The Royal Romance series, Book 7") in the second chapter synopsis.
- This is due to the way the unreleased synopsis are coded, which is different from the current released synopsis.
- This is the first and only book of the series featuring Maxwell Beaumont and Olivia Nevrakis on the cover.
- Chapter 3 shares the same title as Hot Couture, Chapter 11, "Crossroads".
- Chapter 9 shares the same title as First Comes Love, Chapter 4, "Highs and Lows".
- Chapter 13 shares the same title as High School Story: Class Act, Book 1, Chapter 2, Desire & Decorum, Book 3, Chapter 1, and The Princess Swap, Chapter 13, "Family Matters".

This is in spite of the latter being comprised of 12 books (including specials), while this franchise only had 8 (this is mainly due to each book having more chapters and taking longer to release).
- This book has the longest chapter in the entire Choices library, with Chapter 17 having 31 minutes in terms of average chapter time according to the app.
