Tate Fontayne, a character in the Untameable series, is Kit's friend and Rodeo Rival. He/she is first seen in Book 1, Chapter 8.
Appearance
Tate's gender is determined by Kit's. Regardless, Female Tate has long brown haired tied into a side-braid, tanned skin and brown eyes. She wears a black cowboy hat and a purple shirt with silver embroiderings, a silver belt with the letter "T" engraved into it, and dark blue jeans. Male Tate on the other hand has short brown hair, tanned skin and a beard. He wears a black cowboy hat, a red shirt and dark blue jeans with silver embroiderings, a silver belt with a star, and a silver ring and bison necklace.
Personality
According to you, Tate can be considered both nice and competitive. He/She is also a very flirty person, especially if you use him/her to make Kit jealous.

Your Character
You meet Tate for the first time during the Rodeo in Chapter 7. If you are wearing the premium outfit he/she compliments you. In Chapter 8, you can use him/her to make Kit jealous by dancing and flirting with him/her. Tate says that you don't have to pretend with him/her, and that he/she knows Kit well enough that he/she can tell that the other is smitten with you and vice-versa. He/she also says that if your heart didn't already belong to Kit, he/she'd shoot his/her shot.
Kit Jackson
Kit and Tate have known each other for around ten years, and they've been friends and Rodeo competitors ever since. After Kit beats him/her in the latest rodeo competition, Tate offers to introduce Kit to a sponsor in order to entice him/her to return to the circuit. However, Kit says that he/she needs to be honest with him/herself about where he/she belongs.
If you decide to flirt or spend time with Tate to make Kit jealous, Tate tells you that he/she has never seen Kit act the way he/she does when he/she is around you.
