Relationships

Captain

Long ago, Tak and Captain were business partners in a cargo shipping venture. Tak previously had worked for a shipping company in the Caribbean, where he/she had built up a contact list. Tak convinced Captain to make him/her a partner of Captain's cargo shipping business and give him/her a share of the profits.

Tak was actually using Captain's business to smuggle drugs and weapons, but by the time Captain found out, it was too late. Captain confronted Tak, but Tak tried to convince Captain to join them. When Captain refused, Tak tried to drown them, leaving in Captain's boat, the Whanau Ataahua. Tak and Captain hadn't seen each other for years before they met again on Moku Island, with an extremely frosty reception.

Your Character

Tak first meets you when you are trying to find a tour guide to take you to Moku Island. Tak warns you not to go, but when you refuse, Tak tries to drown you by launching a wooden boom at you. It knocks you into the water, and its ropes tangle you, preventing your escape. Fortunately for you, Captain dives into rescue you. However, when you surface, you find Tak has disappeared.

Dr. Halani Hale

Tak and Dr. Hale have a quid pro quo relationship. She provides Tak with rare animals and plants from Moku to sell on the black market, and Tak provides her protection against intruders. Although Hale calls him/her and the other smugglers "low lives", Take doesn't take it as an insult.
