Stranger, a character in The One series, is a mysterious person investigating LoveCorp, and one of your love interests. He/She is first seen in Chapter 1.

Although his/her default name is "Harley Ramos," the player can choose to name him/her as they wish.

Appearance

His/Her gender and looks are determined by the player.

Personality

Stranger is irreverent, sardonic, and evasive. Even when promising straight answers, he/she tends to avoid specifics out of the stated concern that people could get in trouble if they knew more details. Unlike most people, he/she doesn't care about the Soulmate Program or finding a partner.

Background

Stranger's background is largely unknown, though he/she does admit to having a history of accessing restricted LoveCorp data and working as a courier to deliver anything people can't get through standard channels.

Trivia

  • A female version of Stranger is shown on the cover of The One.
  • His/Her default name Harley is likely a reference to Harley Doyle, a character from the Perfect Match series. Although there are many differences between the two stories, both of them feature companies that claim to use proprietary technology to help people find true love.
  • Although Stranger is considered a criminal by the standards of his/her world, this is largely a result of having no choice but to live off the grid in a dystopian society. Such "crimes" include smuggling basic necessities, trespassing on abandoned land, and failing to apply to LoveCorp's Soulmate Program.
