Sebastyan Thorne, a character in the Crimes of Passion series, is a Prince of Drakovia, and one of Trystan's half brothers. He is first seen in Book 2, Chapter 3.
Appearance
Sebastyan has medium-length wavy dirty blond hair, gray eyes, fair skin, and a beard. He wears a white and gray floral blazer, white pants and white and golden vest. He also wears a white shirt with a floral red tie, a golden snake pin on the right side of his blazer, and a silver watch on his left wrist.
Personality
Sebastyan doesn't play nice, and he is a charismatic yet cutthroat politician fighting for equality. According to Vasili, he's never had luck with Women. He doesn't like those that are "easy" and prefers the "chase", choosing to romantically pursue those who aren't interested in him. He is described by Luke as an "awkward little creep". According to Marla Dean, Sebastyan is very intense.
Background
Sebastyan is a congressman with a status of 'Personae Exilia'. His campaign to bring the 'Act for Heir Equity' eight years ago was seen as an early mark of his talent for politicking, and he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Drakovia with a BA in Politics and Foreign Relations. Sebastyan has a surprisingly large following of Drakovian women who see him as a Mr. Darcy type figure, and his fanfic count is only rivaled by Trystan's.

Relationships
Marguerite Thorne
Because Sebastyan blamed Trystan for Juliana's death and Marguerite didn't, the two never forgave each other for it. Marguerite has always been more tolerant of the limitations of her illegitimacy, while Sebastyan always resented her for her complacency. According to his dossier, the two were close before Juliana's death, and in Book 2, Chapter 11, it is revealed that he wrote letters to Marguerite asking for forgiveness and telling her how proud he was for her success, but ended up not sending them.
When it becomes apparent that Sebastyan is not Nadja nor Juliana's killer, Marguerite regrets not having enough time to reconcile with Sebastyan and tell him how much she loves him.
Juliana Georgescu
Sebastyan and Juliana were close friends, and he blames Trystan for what happened to her. He believes that Trystan wasn't good enough for or to Juliana. Together with Nadja Zoric, the three of them had drafted a new law called the Act for Heir Equity, which would recognize all the Royal children as legitimate heirs to the throne. However, the three of them had a falling out prior to Juliana's death. This was partially due to Juliana not approving of Sebastyan committing numerous crimes in an attempt to get the Act passed.
After Juliana's death, Sebastyan tried to revitalize the Act but most people were tired of the talk regarding heirs and their line of succession.
Eveline Goncharov
Sebastyan is extremely close with his mother Eveline, and his brother, Vasili. According to Trystan, he's a momma's boy.
Lydea Thorne
Sebastyan is very friendly with Lydea, and Lydea convinced him to testify against Trystan during his/her trial. After his death, Lydea searched his apartment and found evidence that Sebastyan believed one of the queen's children was a love child.
Vasili Thorne
Vasili Thorne is Sebastyan's older brother, who Sebastyan loved very much. While Vasili was the "family diplomat" and did not pursue his ambitions publicly, Sebastyan took it upon himself to pursue the Act in hopes that it would make Vasili the reasonable and logical choice for heir instead of Trystan.
With Juliana's death, the Act stalled and Sebastyan lost momentum for it. It took rumors of Trystan's subsequent return from exile eight years later for Sebastyan to gain traction, as he worked tirelessly to push for the Act, especially when he believed Trystan would make a terrible ruler. When his fellow Act supporter, Nadja Zoric, was murdered, Sebastyan began to tie the loose threads together and figured out Vasili was behind both women's deaths. Before he could tell Lydea, Vasili had Colette Cadieux lure Sebastyan to a private opera box where he killed his younger brother. Vasili expresses remorse for doing so but believed Sebastyan died for the greater good and to ensure the Act would pass in the legislature.
Vasili argues that he loved Sebastyan and held the younger man in his arms when he died, although Vasili killed him from behind and couldn't face him. Vasili couldn't leave his body on the floor, so he sat Sebastyan in a chair and tried to give him a dignified appearance in death.
