You meet Ryan on your first day at McGraw Byrne. If you act self-deprecatingly, he tells you that "play" won't win you any points or any cases with the firm. If you develop a friendship with him, he tells you that eventually he would like to go to law school and become an attorney. However, he has massive student debt from undergraduate university and doesn't want to accumulate more debt until he pays some of his current debt off. He thanks you for your words on encouragement, stating that most lawyers are dismissive of the paralegals.
