Rodger & Loretta Crandall, characters from the High School Story series, are the parents of Brian and Skye Crandall. They first appeared in Class Act, Book 1, Chapter 3.
Appearances
Mr. Crandall has graying white hair and light skin. He wears a navy suit with a handkerchief on the left pocket over a white button-up shirt.
Mrs. Crandall has light red hair and light skin. She wears a gray checkered suit over a white dress and three pearl necklaces.
Personalities
Mr. and Mrs. Crandall are shown to be uncaring people who mistreat their daughter Skye while favoring their son Brian. According to Skye, they're also implied to be deceptive, as they act nice towards her in public while mistreating her in private.
In Class Act, Book 3, Mrs. Crandall looks down on Your Character (Class Act) as someone of no worth when Skye invites you to their corporate dinner. When you explain who your parents are and that they own The Golden Griddle, Mr. Crandall states they would "never be caught dead in such a working-class eatery", showing classism. Both of them regularly make suggestions to change the script of the school's adaptation (that they are funding) of Shakespeare's play The Tempest, demonstrating a lack of knowledge of the source material or an ignorance towards it, with Mrs. Crandall even calling the play "historic nonsense" containing "wordy drivel".

Relationships
Brian
Brian is their son, whom they favor over their daughter Skye.
Skye
Skye is their daughter, whom they mistreat in private while act nice in public. For example, they left her in school at night after a football match because she sat with her friends instead of her parents and didn't cheer for Brian. When Skye accidentally missed out on a business dinner, they accused her of being selfish and dragged her out of the library.
In Book 3, Skye begins to change herself for them. It is partly because they are funding the school's production of The Tempest: The Musical and the expenses to fly and perform in London; it as also partly because she wants them to love her and for a brief time, she feels the love and affection that she has craved from them. However, after too many insults about her behind-the-scenes work, the drama department, and her friends, Skye cannot take it any longer and snaps. She confronts them in public with you by her side, and they withdraw their support of her and the musical.
In Chapter 12, Skye discovers that her parents followed her and the school to London. They tell her that ever since she boarded the plane to London, they've spent sleepless nights rethinking everything. They realized once she had left that no disagreement was worth losing her. They took her for granted and judged her too harshly, and they ask her for another chance to rebuild their relationships. Skye asks for your opinion and you can tell her to give them the chance or to forget about them. If you choose the first, she tells them that she will try but they cannot insult her friends or her work again; if they do, she will not forgive them again.
Your Character (Class Act)
They consider you to be a bad influence on their daughter. In Book 3, Chapter 8, when Skye realizes she cannot keep doing what they want, you have the premium opportunity to get things off your chest as well and tell them what you think about them and how they treat their daughter.
