Raleigh Carrera, a character in the Platinum book, is a professional R&B singer and one of the judges for the One In A Million finals. He/she is one of Your Character's love interests. He/she is first seen in Chapter 2.
Appearance
Raleigh's appearance and gender are determined by the player. Both versions of Raleigh have multiple tattoos on both their arms and on their left hip/lower abdomen, but the design and exact positions change depending on gender.
Male Raleigh has brown skin, short dark brown hair, brown eyes, a faint but visible mustache, and stubbles on his chin. His left arm tattoo is extending onto his neck and his right arm tattoo reaches his shoulder. His casual outfit consists of a black denim jacket with pockets on each side of the chest area and buttons popped open, a black t-shirt is worn underneath, 2 bracelets on his right arm, and black jeans which are slightly ripped. His stage outfit when he performs for 'Sunset Skatepark' in Chapter 15 consists of a pair of gold framed sunglasses with blue tinted lens which he uses and removes, an unbuttoned blue polo shirt with a floral pattern, a scarf on his neck tied like a necktie that goes under his shirt alongside with blue jeans and a black belt. He wears a bracelet on his left arm.
Female Raleigh has brown skin, brown eyes and hair, and light pink lip gloss. She has her tattoos in almost the same positions as Male Raleigh, but the tattoo on her left arm doesn't extend onto her neck and the one on her right arm doesn't reach her shoulders. Her casual outfit consists of what looks like a clear cardigan that rests on her shoulders which has a black lace top that shows off her midsection underneath, a gold chain necklace, and jean colored denim shorts which are slightly torn, along with a belt. Her stage outfit when she performs for 'Sunset Skatepark' in Chapter 15 consists of a new hairstyle which has her hair styled like a sidecut hairstyle, gold framed sunglasses with smoke colored lens, and a black and gold choker. Her outfit itself consists of a black and red bustier with a floral pattern alongside with a see through black skirt with a rose pattern along the skirt itself.
Personality
Raleigh has the reputation as a known heartbreaker and he/she has been paired publicly with sweet ingenues in the past. Despite this public persona, Raleigh appears more honest and truthful with you. He/she hates being forced to play nice for lazy, stupid-rich, fraud activists who raise millions of dollars every year but only spend 5% on actual charity work. Raleigh would also like to win awards for actually doing something (rather than be given an award just because he/she is a celebrity).
Background
Raleigh is originally from Puerto Rico and had to move to New York after being discovered and picked by his/her label to join the group 'Sunset Skatepark' when Raleigh was "just a kid, barely fifteen" as Raleigh describes it in Chapters 5 and 8. As a result, he/she lost contact with his/her crew from Puerto Rico with whom he/she was running things in their neighborhood. Sunset Skatepark' was bigger than One Direction in the 2010s. In Chapter 2, Raleigh reveals she/he once crashed a yacht and had to do community service, which influenced his/her reputation.

Relationships
Your Character
Raleigh meets Your Character while she is waiting to audition on the One In a Million program. When Your Character's guitar is damaged, Raleigh offers her his/her guitar. In Chapter 4, he/she hides backstage while the audience chants his/her name. Raleigh tells you that in this line of work, it pays to be fashionably late. You have the (premium) option to warm up with Raleigh backstage, where he/she teaches you other vocal drills. If you tell Raleigh that the audience loves him/her, Raleigh points out that it isn't love, that it's infatuation. He/she grew up in the limelight. If you decide to kiss Raleigh, he/she teases you that you're in love with him/her.
In Chapter 6, Fiona Syed tells you and Raleigh that you two will be entering a fake relationship for the public, to boost your popularity as well as calm down Raleigh's wild public persona. You can choose to play up the relationship and in Chapter 7, you two attend a charity function together. In Chapter 11, after your fake relationship has run its course, you and Raleigh perform a "fake break-up" in front of curious onlookers. If you romantically pursue Raleigh, you two can become closer in Chapter 11.
After your disastrous performance at the Vinyls, Raleigh is among your true friends that tries to help you through it. You can also help him/her with his/her feelings regarding Sunset Skatepark and encourage Raleigh to perform with them at the Indio Music Festival in a premium scene of Chapter 15.
