Penelope, a character in The Royal Romance and The Royal Heir series, is one of the Prince's suitors. She is first seen in The Royal Romance, Book 1, Chapter 3.
Appearance
Penelope has black hair which she styles in a bun. She has fair skin and blue eyes, and wears a dark blue dress.
Personality
She is shown to be very loving towards dogs, specifically her poodles. Among her friends, Penelope is known for her kindness and sweet nature. She is also a romantic, and according to Kiara has 'always dreamed of marrying her first love'.
In spite of Penelope's strengths, she also has low self-esteem and is easily manipulated and influenced by others. She tries very hard to fit in with Madeleine's expectations but eventually submits to the pressures of court. She admits to suffering from anxiety and that her pet poodles help her (akin to emotional therapy animals). She also keeps crystalline poodles in her purse to help.

Relationships
Maxwell Beaumont
She has a crush on Maxwell, as revealed in Book 2, Chapter 6. You can choose to say they would be cute together or tell Penelope she's not his type. In Book 3, her attraction shifts off Maxwell and onto Ezekiel instead.
Your Character
Penelope does not dislike you, but because she is jealous of your popularity at court and relationship with the Prince, she takes part in the plot against you by asking a maid to perform a 'prank' and also sends a photographer payment for taking a photo of the incident. She reveals that Bastien had approached her, telling her that she would become a lady-in-waiting and be allowed to remain at court if she helped set you up. In Book 2, Chapter 10, Penelope asks you for forgiveness, and it is up to you to accept or decline her apology. Whatever your choice, she is still a part of the Cordonian court. In Book 3, Chapter 17, you have the option to choose her as your Maid of Honor.
In The Royal Heir, Book 3, she tells you that she doesn't know why her father sided with Barthelemy during the last House vote, and his vote made her angry. Later, she asks you to be one of her bridesmaids and for your daughter to be her flower girl. You agree regardless, but whether it is because you are excited to be a part of the wedding or because you decide to use the opportunity to dig into Landon's reasons is up to you. You also have the opportunity to throw her an impromptu bachelorette party in a premium scene. Later that night, you and Penelope sneak out to follow her father and find him talking with Guy, Penelope's ex-husband. If you choose to, she can tell you what happened between the two of them four years ago. If not, she'll give you a brief summary.
The next day, because her and Zeke's officiant is unable to preform the ceremony due to food poisoning, they ask you if you would officiate. You agree and your spouse says this may be the last chance you can convince Penelope to tell the truth about her previous marriage. You either barely convince her or you inspire her to speak from the heart and she tells Zeke everything. With the truth out in the open, Penelope is free from Guy's extortion and thanks you for your help.
While you, your spouse, and friends are away trying to uncover Barthelemy's secrets and rescue Olivia Nevrakis, you and your spouse ask Penelope and Zeke to babysit your daughter. When Barthelemy finds out about this and takes your child to the palace, Penelope and Zeke visit her to keep her company.
At the end of The Royal Finale, Penelope tells you that she and Zeke are expecting a child. You give her a little advice and congratulate her.
Landon & Emmeline
Landon and Emmeline are Penelope's parents. They are the Duke and Duchess of Portavira. When you meet them, Landon tells you that even though Emmeline loves her daughter, she doesn't understand how stressful it is for Penelope. He appreciates you looking out for Penelope if you decide to. In Book 3, Chapter 22, Penelope tells her parents she wants to design dog clothes.
Merlin and Morgana
Merlin and Morgana are Penelope's poodles. She's had them since they were puppies. Her first childhood poodles were named Lancelot and Guinevere. Her third poodle was named Isolde. During her wedding, she chooses Merlin and Morgana to serve as her ring bearers. They are very protective of her, and after Penelope confesses to her annulment, you can choose to sic them on Guy to chase him out of the wedding ceremony.
Ezekiel Theron
Ezekiel is Penelope's love interest. He proposes to her in The Royal Heir, Book 2, Chapter 18, and she accepts. In Book 3, Chapter 2, you attend their wedding rehearsal. For the Portaviran Sending ceremony, they choose a bouquet to represent their love. The anemone flowers represent anticipation and the cosmos represent the harmony of their hearts bonding as one.
When Penelope comes clean at her wedding, Zeke tells her that it does hurt him that she did not tell him sooner. However, he does recognize how much courage it took for her to tell him the truth and no matter what, he still loves her. Despite the scandal that it may bring his House (to which his mother says they can brave the inconvenience of it for him to marry for love), he does not let her past stand between them. He still wants to and does marry Penelope in the end.
During their honeymoon, they went swimming with dolphins. In The Royal Finale, Chapter 17, she and Ezekiel announce her pregnancy to their friends.
Kiara Theron
Kiara and Penelope are best friends throughout the series. In The Royal Heir, Book 3, she mentions that Kiara is one of her bridesmaids and in a premium scene about her past, it shows their friendship extended beyond four years.
If you decide to seat them apart from each other at Barthelemy's Beaumont Bash, Penelope and Ezekiel yell across the room to talk to Kiara.
Hana Lee
If you are unsuccessful in gaining Penelope's trust in The Royal Romance, Book 2, she will confess to Hana that she was coerced into setting you up for infidelity. In The Royal Heir, Book 3, she mentions that Hana is one of her bridesmaids.
Guy Brixton
Four years prior to the events of The Royal Heir, Book 3, Penelope met Guy and his greyhound Galahad while she was walking Merlin and Morgana. Their dog leashes became entangled with one another, and Penelope invited Guy to high tea. Four weeks and five dates later, he invited her to Paris to spend their one-month-versary and charmed her with Kiara called trite lines. Kiara warned her not to do anything rash, but a week later, Penelope and Guy eloped in Monaco. Penelope felt she was in love and even though she wanted her family to be present, she thought in time they would love Guy as much as she did.
Back at home, Emmeline questioned Penelope about their finances and her newly-opened joint bank account with someone named Guy Brixton. When she admits to marrying him, her parents are livid and Landon hires a private investigator to look into Guy. He presents the information to Penelope, that Guy is a con man who marries wealthy women, extorts them out of their money, and leaves. Because Penelope's marriage and subsequent annulment will be considered improper in regards to tradition, Landon agrees to pay Guy for his silence and has continued to pay him throughout the years.
As Penelope's marriage to Zeke draws near, Guy collaborates with Barthelemy Beaumont, strong-arming Landon to vote for Barthelemy on top of the money he continues to receive. When you persuade Penelope to come clean at her wedding, Guy's leverage is lost and he is kicked out from the ceremony.
