- On January 15, 2019, in the blogpost for America's Most Eligible: All Stars, PB teased that in addition to it coming out later this year, we will get to travel the world.[1]
- On February 22, 2019, PB hinted at this book being the next to premiere, when they revealed on their latest blog post that it will take you on a globetrotting journey! [2]
- On March 4, 2019, PB announced that the book, titled Passport to Romance, would be released soon and told players to "pack their bags", revealing that this book was the traveling book that's been teased.[3]
- On March 6, 2019, PB confirmed via Reddit that Passport to Romance along with Nightbound won't be genderlocked.[4]
- On this same day, Andrew and the rest of PB confirmed via their AMA Reddit session that we'd have to SEA what they have in store when it comes to future books. Thus, they confirmed that this book is not the Untitled Nautical Book that has been teased for a while now.[5]
- On March 7, 2019, PB released a second trailer for this book and along with it came the confirmation that this book will premiere on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.[6]
- On March 8, 2019, PB released another promotional photo for this book, this time showing a travel itinerary and some other travel themed items.[7]
- On the same day, PB released the description for Chapter 1 of The Elementalists, Book 2 and Passport to Romance.[8]
- On March 11, 2019, PB released a sneak peek featuring a character by the name of Ahmed.[9]

Trivia
- This is the third book to have the word "Romance" in the title, but only the first where you can choose the MC's gender.
- Introduced in this book is the use of quotes at the beginning of each chapter.
- In Chapter 1, Sumire will reference 1955 movie Summertime and actress Katharine Hepburn, after the MC said that he/she fell into the Seine earlier of this chapter.
- In Chapter 2, if you choose to wear the premium outfit, Sumire will reference C.D. Friedrich's Wanderer if male or Madame X if female.
- In Chapter 5, if you choose to film more of your friends, Ahmed will quote from the song "Don't you (forget about me)".
- If Your Character (Bloodbound) goes out with Jax Matsuo and Lily Spencer and kisses either one of them in a premium scene of Bloodbound, Book 2, Chapter 10, the achievement that pops up is called Passport to Romance.
