Officer Morris & Eric Holbeck, characters in the Crimes of Passion series, are Police Officers and homicide detectives. They are first seen in Book 1, Chapter 2.
Appearance
Morris has short brown hair, gray eyes, and light skin. He wears a dark gray shirt with a silver and NYPD badge. Eric is bald, he has blue eyes and a light skin, and he wears the same shirt, although his has a black tie as well.
Personality
Trystan describes Holbeck and Morris as "drooling wet sacks of toxic masculinity". In Chapter 3, Ruby tells you that she gave them the details she found when examining Sonja's body but they seemed more interested in sweeping the case under the rug. You also believe that the two aren't up to the task of solving Sonja's murder.
Background
Morris and Holbeck are your former colleagues. Although it is not confirmed, based on their attitude towards you, it is highly likely that they are guilty of police brutality, abuse of suspects, forging evidence, corruption, and bribery. They could also be the ones that planted dead rats in your locker back when you were a homicide detective.

Your Character
Morris and Holbeck are the officers that come to the scene of the crime, and the detectives investigating her murder. At first, they want to pin the murder on you but you threaten legal action against them. When you are arrested by the Police in Chapter 11, Morris and Holbeck show up and mock you. In Chapter 15, you and Trystan distract them so that you steal the keys to free Tony. In Book 3, you suspect Holbeck of being dirty and working for the Scarlottis as a mole.
