Relationships

Morgana

Morgana is Mordred's mother, conceived after her relationship with Calhoun. When Morgana discovered that she was pregnant, she decided to keep Mordred a secret and raise him away from Camelot because she was afraid that his life would be in danger if the enemies of Arthur/Artura learned of his existence. As it is revealed in Chapter 8, the reason Morgana stole the poisonous flower was to heal Mordred after he fell ill. If you have seen the vision where Mordred murders Arthur/Artura, you can tell Morgana about it in Chapter 17, but you assure her that you don't believe that it will come to pass, and that by finally letting them get to know each other, she has perhaps changed the future.

Arthur/Artura Pendragon

Arthur/Artura and Mordred weren't aware of each other's existence. The two meet for the first time in Chapter 8, and Arthur/Artura promises to make up for lost time by getting to know each other. At first Morgana refuses as she believes that Mordred would be in danger if Camelot's enemies found a child with connections to the throne, but once Merlin is defeated, Morgana changes her mind and brings him to court. In one of Merlin's visions in Chapter 14, he is seen as a grown-up "Ominous Knight" murdering Arthur/Artura.

Merlin

If you decide to see how Merlin has interfered with yours and Camelot's history in Chapter 14, you find out that Merlin had a vision of older Mordred slaying Arthur/Artura in the future. Wanting to avoid this outcome, Merlin summoned some of his mercenaries, and offered them one hundred gold coins to kill any child they find named Mordred.

Evale

In Chapter 17, Evale and Mordred play tag; at least if Chapter 14's vision scene is picked.

Kay

Later in Chapter 17, Kay offers to show Mordred how to dance. Some time after, Mordred rode on Kay's shoulders while Kay danced.

  • Older Mordred's crimes include murder and treason.

    • According to some versions of the Arthurian Legend, Mordred is the man who is destined to kill King Arthur (and will be killed by him in the same fight) and destroy Camelot.
