Meiko Katsaros, a character in the Hero book, is the District Attorney for Northbridge and Kenji's mother. She is first seen in Book 1, Chapter 1.
Appearance
Meiko has brown eyes, long, brown hair, and fair skin. She wears a gray blazer over a black top and gold chain with a pearl.
Personality
She respects the law and believes the Police are the only ones who should be fighting Criminals. Because of this, she disapproves of Superheroes fighting crime. She has labeled all Superheroes and Supervillains as Criminals. By the Book 1 Finale, she has drastically changed her opinion and wants to create a joint task force between the Police and Superheroes.

Relationships
Kenji
Meiko is Kenji's mother. She disapproves of the fact that he is dropping out of law school. He hasn't told her that he is Talos, especially because of her negative view on superheroes. All this leads to a strained relationship. However, she is shown to be worried about him. If you introduce yourself as his friend, a sad Meiko states that he has a lot of so-called "friends" but that doesn't mean that they really care about him. In Chapter 9, when Kenji learns that she is attacked by Caleb, he immediately leaves the opening of The Grand and rushes to her in order to save her. Since he only appears as his superhero ego, Meiko doesn't recognize him. Even though he and you manage to rescue Meiko, Kenji gets severely injured while fighting Caleb, which makes Meiko reconsider her opinion on superheroes for the first time. While she appreciates that Talos was ready to sacrifice himself for her, her relationship with Kenji takes a turn for the worse after this event as he cannot pick her up from hospital while Dax searches for a way to help him survive and shift back to his human form. After they succeed, Kenji finds several texts and missed calls from a mad Meiko in Chapter 10. In a premium scene, you can join when the two of them meet in a restaurant to patch things up between them. In this scene, Kenji apologizes for his behavior since he cannot reveal his identity to Meiko in order to keep her safe. Meiko then reveals that she isn't actually mad about him dropping out of law school; she is mad that he neither talked to her about his decision first nor asked her for advice. She doesn't want to argue since they used to be able to talk about everything. When they say goodbye, they are both smiling.
Your Character
It is hinted you may have a negative relationship with her given that she disapproves of Vigilantism. However, after you save her from Caleb, she starts seeing you and Talos as heroes instead of criminals. In Chapter 10, you can choose to help patch her relationship with Kenji up in a premium scene which will result in her asking you to keep an eye on him for her before she leaves. When you have a conversation with her at the Prescott Industries masquerade ball, you can choose to ask her current opinion on Superheroes. She states that she may have misjudged them but feels that they should be more cooperative with the police, stating that none of them have reached out to Law Enforcement. By the Book 1 finale, she has come to fully trust you and appears horrified when you seemingly sacrifice yourself saving Northbridge from Silas Prescott.
