Your parents courted in London before returning to Edgewater, where your grandfather forced the couple to separate and annul their marriage. Luke's father fought for England during the American war for independence and when England surrendered at Yorktown, he sailed for London.
In Desire and Decorum, Book 1, you go to London for the social season in hopes of finding a husband to establish your claim to Edgewater. You attend a variety of events, including a dinner party thrown by Ernest Sinclaire, a performance at Opera St. James, and a day of horse racing. You leave briefly when your father becomes sick and dies, but return to London for Duke Tristan Richards' ball to defend your claim against Henrietta Foredale. Following the announcement of your betrothal, you remain in London for some time, and are presented to Queen Charlotte. You do not return to London after this until your wedding to Richards, which is thwarted by your exposing his plot to overthrow the Prince Regent, after which the Queen strips him of his title and sentences him to prison.

Several days later, you two attend your first London ball and Louise first meets her suitors, Prince Maxwell and Lord Shroppington, while you are reunited with Nat and also learn that Lawrence has an affair, which brings you and Nat even closer. During an evening spectacle, Lord Farrow uses the chance to make unwanted advances towards Louise, resulting in them being caught by Lady Saunders who demands they get married to save Louise's reputation. You and Vicomte Noisette successfully demise a plan to entrap Lord Farrow in a marriage with Noisette's cousin. After the Queen announces who is the Light of the Season, you and Nat are caught kissing by Lawrence and Sir Somerville, resulting in Nat challenging Lawrence to a duel. While visiting with Wendy, you have the premium options to hear the story of how your parents met and to take some football tickets she is not going to be able to use and attend a game with your friends before you head back to the US for prom.
As you arrive at the airport, the weather continues to get worse. The storm that knocked out power to your performance soon grounds all outgoing flights, putting the cast at risk of not being able to get home in time for prom back in Cedar Cove.
