Trivia
- The following chapters have slightly different titles between the interface/index and the first page. On the wiki, we use the in-game first page title rather than the interface/index title:
- Chapter 3 does not have a chapter title in the book itself. On the wiki, we use the title from the interface instead.
- Chapter 7: A Date with Desire
- Plotwise, the book bears many similarities to the WB television show Charmed and its CW reboot, which PB has said to be one of the inspirations to the book.
- They all focus on a trio of sisters who discover they're witches in adulthood after the death of a maternal figure.
- Maggie growing up separate from her sisters is similar to Paige Matthews and Macy Vaughn's backstories.
- The main character's power to manipulate the flow of time is similar to Mel Vera's powers.
- The angel-like guardian assigned to protect and guide the sisters is similar to Leo Wyatt and Harry Greenwood.
- Also, like Leo and Harry, he/she is a love interest to one of the sisters.
- The sisters' house in the book bares a strong resemblance to the Halliwell Manor.
- Gus being the sisters' familiar, whilst posing as an ordinary pet cat, is similar to Kit.
- Archer Bell being an evil being posing as a lawyer, with "Archer Bell" being an alias, is similar to Cole Turner.
- Also, like Cole, he/she is a love interest to one of the sisters.
- There are also similarities with The Wheel of Time book series.
- Both have an imprisoned evil attempting to break free.
- Followers of the respective evil that were also imprisoned have already broke out.
- The things imprisoning the respective evil are breaking.
- In a premium Chapter 2 scene, the main character alludes to The Wizard of Oz when she says "I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore."
- Another premium Chapter 2 scene has the potential use of the term "timey-wimey" which might be a reference to the Sci-Fi show Doctor Who.
- In a premium Chapter 3 scene, Saffron seems to allude to Basil when she calls herself The Great Mouse Detective.
- In a premium Chapter 4 scene, Saffron seems to allude to either Aang or Korra when she calls another witch the Avatar.
- In a premium scene of Chapter 5, in an attempt to make yourself cry, you can think of the ending of the film Titanic. Saff will agree that it's the saddest movie while Maggie calls it dumb, citing the door not fitting both Rose and Jack as well as Rose throwing the necklace into the ocean as examples.
- If you choose to separate the wraiths towards the end of the chapter, the game describes their slowed down movements as "running at you like a twisted Baywatch remake".
- In Chapter 6, Saff mentions she will be binge watching reruns of America's Most Eligible.
- In Chapter 7, you can go to an art exhibit with Kaine. If you do, he/she will ask you how one painting makes you feel and immediately adds "And don't hit me with that 'it's indescribable' bunk, unless you want me thinking you're a heartless robot" in a reference to the Perfect Match series.
- In the same scene, you join a dance and when you ask Kaine where he/she learned to dance like this, he/she will say "80s movies set in the 60s? Or maybe I was there in person. You'll never know." This is a likely reference to Dirty Dancing and Hairspray.
- In Chapter 13, Saffron mentions Thor and his hammer.
- All chapter titles contain alliteration in the definition of "repetition of syllable-initial consonant sounds between nearby words".[23] In each title, nouns and adjectives - even if separated by prepositions or articles - begin with either the same consonant (lost, labyrinth) or with different consonants that are pronounced the same way (circle, sisters).
- Throughout the book, there is a color scheme for your coven members and your respective magic, as well as for guardians and wraiths: yellow for Your Character, red for Maggie (who is stated to be governed by fire), blue for Saff (who is governed by water), white for guardians, and black for wraiths. Yellow, red, and blue are the traditional primary colors, colors that cannot be created by mixing other colors. Mixing yellow, red, and blue paint creates black paint. There are several magic items and symbols seen in the book that have one of the three colors, depending on which character they refer to. Whenever one of the three characters uses her magic, the background also slightly changes color according to the magic used. At the beginning of the story, when your coven first comes together, the three magic symbols combine to create a white magic symbol. If Guardian uses his/her power to teleport, either the background gets lighter or fades to white; the opposite happens when a wraith uses his/her/its power to teleport.
