Relationships
Via Imperii
- "The information I spread, the rumors I sow... I could sink nations."
- —The Voice
According to her dossier, Julia has been "The Voice" for four years. She has used her knowledge of social media platforms to help Via Imperii candidates be elected into offices as well as prevent anti-Via Imperii candidates from coming into power.
Of the Circle, it appears she has the most conflict with The Eye. He dismisses her work as "public relations" whereas he runs a global spy network. She calls him an old goat.
Your Character
You are first introduced to Julia when she represents the 'Auvernese Express' at a press conference, and asks you and King "Liam" about Godfrey's whereabouts in The Royal Heir, Book 2, Chapter 3. Like the other paparazzi who hound you about your pregnancy in the past, you pay her no mind and can choose to answer her questions with sass or with diplomacy. When she appears in Book 3, Chapter 15, at another press conference, she mentions she has a new Julia Rivera Show and calls her fans "Jewels".
You first meet Julia as "The Voice" in The Royal Finale, Chapter 4 when you are inducted into the Via Imperii. From her interactions with "The Eye", you deduce there is no love lost between the two of them, which is later confirmed in Chapter 8 if you decide to download the Circle's dossiers. In Chapter 6, you appear on her show to announce who you choose to be Auvernal's next ruler, and the queen you choose will tell you about The Voice's involvement in the Vox Nostra Academy.
Determined to unmask the members of the Circle, Julia becomes one of two people you and your friends suspect of being "the Voice". While Emmeline is at the academy as a sponsor, Julia has her daughter enrolled there and neither woman gives you concrete answers. You decide to trick one of them into revealing her identity by drawing The Voice's mask with crayons and art supplies and pinning it to the wall alongside other children's art. Hana tells each woman that there is a remarkable drawing that is unsigned in the school room and wonders if either of them would know who drew it. When Julia sees the drawing, she immediately yells at her daughter, accusing her of being the artist behind the drawing. Although Claudia denies it, Julia makes her promise not to draw her mask again and Claudia agrees to appease her.
In Chapter 9, you meet her along with other members of the Circle in Switzerland. As The Voice, she says that she wouldn't be quick to dismiss rumors of your betrayal to the Via Imperii, but she also agrees with Lena's findings and trusts you are not a traitor.
Claudia
Claudia is her only daughter.
