Jett, a character in the Wolf Bride book, is a citizen in West Virginia and one of the werewolves. He is first seen in Chapter 1.

Appearance

Jett has brown eyes, brown hair, and tan skin. He says he has the best vision in the Pack.

Personality

Jett is headstrong and always rushes into things without thinking. He wants to look impressive and likes showing his power to the Pack, but is no match for Alpha's strength or claws. He's very xenophobic and hostile to outsiders such as you and Werewolf Hunter, and doesn't allow weakness, which can be seen from how he treats Callum's and Layla's baby and also the drained werewolves while he's Alpha. Jett's also very arrogant and condescending, and his usual strategy with people he disagrees with or considers weaker, is challenging them to a duel. He can be described as devious, given that he misses Naomi's ceremony that the whole Pack attends and which results in all of the attendees being intoxicated, just to then challenge Alpha Werewolf for the position of Alpha again, knowing that Alpha Werewolf is only temporarily no match for him.

Alpha Werewolf

At the end of Chapter 4, Jett challenges him to a duel for the title of Alpha. Depending on your choices in Chapter 5, Alpha Werewolf can beat him with minimal injuries. According to Layla, their argument and subsequent fight has been brewing for a while. If you were not the excuse behind this fight, Jett would have come up with another excuse to test Alpha. Jett later challenges Alpha Werewolf again, fully aware that Alpha is only temporarily not a match to him due to being intoxicated by the herbal brew for Naomi's ceremony. When he wins, he exiles Alpha Werewolf. Upon seeing how Jett treats the drained werewolves and the born blind baby of Callum and Layla, Alpha Werewolf challenges him for the position of Alpha and wins. Jett loses but isn't exiled but Alpha Werewolf states he may still exile Jett depending on his future behavior.

Your Character

You first meet Jett when he and Isobel abduct you from a dive bar and drag you to the Bonding Ceremony. Alpha tells you that he assumed you were deliberately being difficult and never thought you didn't know what was happening.

When you see Werewolf Hunter, Sergei, and Hugo targeting Jett for her project, you can choose to try and stop them but Jett will still be shot with silver. Jett saw you with the Hunters and confronts you about it in front of the others. If you then rightfully tell that you tried to stop them, you will gain a point with him. Another option to gain a point with him is to side with him that Werewolf Hunter - due to her project to catch and test werewolves against their will - is dangerous.

In the final battle, if you feel your animosity with Jett will hinder the Pack and send the drained werewolves to warn Layla instead, SEP soldiers will take the Pack by surprise and reduce their numbers. However, if you push your animosity to the side and decide to send the drained werewolves to warn Jett himself, the Pack comes in full force to the battle at the sacred cave.

Powers and Abilities

  • Therianthropy[1]: the ability to metamorphose into other animals by means of shapeshifting. These werewolves can transform themselves from human to werewolf and to wolf.
  • Werewolf Physiology: the power to use the abilities of a werewolf. This includes:
    • Enhanced Body: Even in human form, werewolves can heal more quickly than humans.
    • Enhanced Agility
    • Enhanced Durability
    • Enhanced Endurance
    • Enhanced Reflexes
    • Enhanced Senses: Their senses are heightened by Primal magic.
    • Night Vision: Even in human form, werewolves can see in the dark with perfect clarity.
    • Enhanced Speed: They are faster than most humans, due to their ties to Primal magic.
    • Enhanced Stamina
    • Enhanced Strength: They are stronger than most humans, due to their ties to Primal magic.

Weaknesses

  • Silver: During a full moon, silver is the only thing that can harm werewolves. During non-full-moon times, bullets would hurt werewolves just as much as they would hurt humans; however, werewolf physiology would allow them to heal faster.
  • "Werewolf Hunter"'s / Knights of Ossory's Chemical Weapons: The chemicals that Werewolf Hunter uses in her experiments to "cure" werewolves are toxic to them and poison their psychic connection to the Primal Magic. To fight off the toxins, the infected werewolves need to physically reconnect with Primal Magic.
  • Full Moon: On a full moon, all werewolves turn Primal, losing the abilities to speak, understand speech, and reason. They act on instinct alone and as Werewolf Hunter puts it, kill anything. As demonstrated in Chapter 7, they attack humans and wolf-kin alike, putting Layla who is at the time pregnant with a werewolf in danger. The only werewolf mentioned to be able to temporarily fight against it is Alpha Werewolf when he turns against his pack when they attack the town.
    • Werewolves born during a full moon usually don't survive or if they do, have disabilities such as blindness.
