Jayden

Jayden, a character in the With Every Heartbeat book, is Dakota Winchester's high school friend. He is first seen in Chapter 1.

Appearance

Jayden has dark brown eyes, short wavy black hair, and tan skin. He wears a maroon henley shirt.

Personality

Jayden is an outgoing and upbeat person who is friendly to everyone he meets. Although he is apparently not a strong academic student, he is a dedicated athlete. He can also be insensitive in spite of his kind personality, and at one point implies he has been broken up with for that reason before.

Relationships

Dakota Winchester

Dakota is Jayden's friend through the AV club. They both co-host the student morning announcements. In Chapter 4, you out that Dakota and Jayden aren't very close as Jayden asks Dakota if you two are dating but at that point, Dakota tells him no. However, when Dakota needs help filming his/her application film for the SBC School of Cinematic Arts, Jayden helps with whatever Dakota needs.

When Jayden goes to the hospital to visit Dakota, he tells Dakota that Wesley Lewis has replaced him/her as his co-anchor on the morning announcements. Wesley is also taking Emily to the prom, which surprises Dakota because both Heather and him/her thought Jayden was going to ask Emily himself.

Heather

Heather is Jayden's friend through the AV club.

Your Character

In Chapter 1, you see both Dakota and Jayden doing the morning school announcements. At lunch time, Dakota introduces you two, and tells you that Jayden is the best lineman at Willow Creek.

Emily

Jayden has a crush on Emily, something the people around him find obvious and often tease him about. If you invite your classmates to the Edenbrook prom, he will ask Emily to dance.

He was accepted to a college in Texas, where he can try out to be a walk-on in football.
