Trivia
- Unlike the previous two books in the Class Act series, this book was released on Wednesdays (the first two were released on Mondays).
- The America's Most Eligible TV show and Ivy Fisher are mentioned in Skye's premium scene in Chapter 1.
- You also watch a movie called "We" which is a parody of the movie "Us" given that both movies revolve around people being attacked by scissor wielding doppelgängers.
- America's Most Eligible is again mentioned by Mrs. Crandall in Chapter 7.
- The spring play being cast is a musical version of The Tempest by William Shakespeare. The Tempest is one of Shakespeare's late romances, and is subject to many interpretations. The cast and crew list is as follows:
- Prospero: Jordan Lee
- Miranda/Milo: Bailey Jenkins
- Ariel: Casey Jenkins
- Caliban: Michael Harrison
- Alonso: Erin Ward
- Gonzalo: Emma Hawkins
- Antonio: Caleb Mitchell
- Ferdinand: Rory Silva
- Director: Ajay Bhandari
- Stage Manager: Maria Flores
- Music Director: Aiden Zhou
- Other Crew: Skye Crandall, Graham
- Erin states Spotlite is "like the Cannes Festival"[31] but for theater.
- Chapter 5 shares the same title as Save the Date, Chapter 11, "Cold Feet".
- Chapter 9 shares the same title as Distant Shores, Chapter 15, "Race against Time".
- Chapter 12 is called "The Heist, London", which may be a reference to The Heist: Monaco.
- A premium scene of Chapter 13 contains a Star Wars reference: if Alan asks out Faith by using a wrong syntactical structure, she will speak like Yoda and call him young Skywalker.
- Further references in the same scene include The Phantom of the Opera (which is also referenced in other chapters of this book) and Les Misérables.
- The song Faith sung for the music box is "Of Thee I Sing" from the musical of the same name, the first musical to win the Pulitzer prize for Drama.
- References and mentions in this book include Lion King being based on Hamlet, West Side Story being based on Romeo and Juliet, The Twilight Zone, Eminem, Nicki Minaj, Matrix, The Fast and the Furious, and Doctor Who, as well as Barbie and Bratz dolls.
- In Chapter 7, Rory invites you to the Aurora Music Festival which was previously featured in The Freshman, Book 4. Rory also mentions that Domesticated Antelope will be performing, a band occasionally mentioned in The Freshman Series.
- In total, this franchise lasted two and a half years, while The Freshman franchise lasted two years and four months. This is in spite of this franchise having only 6 books with 92 chapters overall, while the latter has a total of 12 books with 125 chapters (including specials).
- This is the only book that takes place about half of the time outside of Cedar Cove and therefore the book where Oliver M. Berry High School makes the least physical appearances.
