He/She was inspired to join the Special Forces in hopes of becoming the kind of hero his/her dad helped bring to life on the screen. Following the traumatic loss of the person he/she was supposed to protect, Guard left to work in general security in order to avoid being responsible for the safety of any one individual. As of the first chapter, he/she has been working security on the set of the movie Guarded for long enough to have a comfortable relationship with the other studio employees. After he/she saves you from a sabotaged light fixture, he/she is hired as your bodyguard due to his/her experience in the Special Forces.

Relationships

Your Character

He/She was drawn to you at first sight, but did not intend to act on it out of the belief you couldn't share that interest, and he/she deflects whenever teased about this attraction by the other studio employees. Following the revelation that you have a stalker, Guard is hired as your bodyguard due to his/her experience with threat analysis. However, because of concerns that obvious security measures might derail your movie's filming schedule, it is decided that you and Guard will pretend to date in order to explain why you're always together. This story is easily sold to the public by the viral video of Guard dramatically rescuing you from a falling light fixture and the (actually-true) claim that this moment marked the beginning of your relationship.

Enzo Visser

Guard met Enzo after he/she and Colby were assigned to his security detail. Though initially skeptical of his charisma, Guard was quickly won over by Enzo's sincerity, and the three of them became close friends. They began playing small pranks on each other, such as leaving a spider in Colby's bed or whipped cream in Guard's shoes, and that soon escalated to more elaborate antics like Colby hacking Enzo's electronics to make his office appear haunted.

When Enzo went missing without explanation, his staff shrugged it off as another one of the trio's pranks and did not sound the alarm. However, Enzo had been kidnapped by the revolutionaries who stood in opposition to his policies. Guard and Colby were able to track him down using a clue he'd left for them, but Enzo had already been fatally wounded by the time they arrived. Guard blames him/herself for Enzo's death and believes their friendship interfered with his/her ability to protect him. He/She never properly mourned Enzo, preferring instead to focus on work and avoid facing what happened.
