Daily Diamonds
The Choices App has tested out various "Daily Diamonds" frequencies. Starting in 2019, it gave players the ability to watch 3 daily video ads in exchange for 1 diamond each. Later, it was set on a "Five Diamonds Every 22 Hours" formula for several years. This is noted on the App by the gift icon located at the bottom right corner, which turns orange when the timer has finished counting down from 22 hours. On or around January 21, 2021, this "Five Diamonds Every 22 Hours" formula changed to incorporate the "Challenges" listed below. Players could still earn 1 Diamond for the Daily Check-In, but the Diamond for Ad watching was reduced from 5 Diamonds (4 Ads) to 3 Diamonds (3 Ads). From May 15, 2023 to September 11, 2023, all players could earn up to 100 diamonds for 100 ads (1 Diamond per ad) every 22 hours. On September 11, 2023, this was reduced to 8 Diamonds for 8 ads. On September 12, 2023, it was increased back to 100 Diamonds for 100 ads.
In addition, a player can gain six diamonds for ending six chapters per day. The time this "day" resets depends on the player's location. Because Pixelberry's main office is in California, USA, it operates on Pacific Daylight Time or Pacific Standard Time, which is GMT-7 and GMT-8 respectively.
The Daily Reset occurs at 16:00 PST (midnight GMT); and at 17:00 PDT (midnight GMT). At this point, if the player ends a chapter (other than Chapter One), they should receive a pop-up ad that asks to play an ad. After watching the ad, the player gains a diamond. A maximum of six ads can be watched to earn six diamonds. If ending a chapter reveals a white-out screen, the ad will fail to load and the diamond cannot be earned with that chapter. If an error-message occurs (for example, "unable to load ad"), it is possible that all potential ads have played and the game will not allow you to earn extra diamonds. This can occur if the player diligently watches ads / gains diamonds every day without pause. If this happens, it is suggested that if the player backs-up his/her data with a Facebook account and launches the app on a different device (for example, switching from an Android device to an iPad, or vice versa), the player may be able to view new ads specific for the device and gain the daily diamond allotment.
Finishing new chapters gives 2 diamonds per chapter. These 2 diamonds are separate from the daily-diamond-for-watching-an-ad diamond. Technically, if a player finishes a new chapter after the daily reset time and has not finished six chapters yet, they could earn 2 + 1 ad diamond for the chapter.
VIP Status
VIP is a paid subscription model that Pixelberry launched on July 21, 2020, after seven months of previous beta testing (which began in December 2019 and concluded with the official launch). During the beta test, three books were released under VIP Early Access: Hot Couture (from December 19, 2019, then subsequently weekly towards March 18, 2020), With Every Heartbeat (from December 19, 2019, then subsequently weekly towards March 20, 2020), and A Very Scandalous Proposal (from February 5, 2020, then subsequently weekly towards May 13, 2020).
After the subscription model's official launch with The Unexpected Heiress debuting on July 22, 2020, Pixelberry has continuously said that these books will be released to the general audience (non-VIP status) eventually. With Every Heartbeat was originally slated for a general wide release during Spring 2020 according to the Choices Insiders, but due to the real-world events at the height of the pandemic, its general release was pushed to a later date, around a year later, on January 27, 2021.
On August 23, 2021, Pixelberry changed the timeline structure of when they would release the debut books towards the general audience. According to their blog, all new debut books will be released first to VIP subscribers and around halfway through the release, they would begin to release it to general audience. In other words, both VIP and general audience readers will read the books simultaneously; however, VIP players would be reading several chapters early ahead. With this new structure, the wiki has divided the Early Access category into two subcategories: OG (original) and 2.0. Books that were released from December 19, 2019 to July 2, 2021 are placed under the OG header. Books that are released after are placed under the 2.0 header.
On December 2022, Pixelberry has announced on their blog that all new books including sequels would be going through the Early Access phase by 2024, which included then-newly announced Immortal Desires, Book 2. Since The Cursed Heart, Book 2 was released in November 2023, all sequels have followed the new Early Access model.
On September 2023, a new classification for VIP books has been created for the benefit of the VIP players. VIP Exclusive books are books which do not have a general release and shall remain for VIP users only. The Dalton Affair and Bloodbound Origins are some examples of the short form books available for VIP players.
The beta test of the VIP subscription model differed between players. One subscription was $5 per week for 10 daily diamonds (in addition to the 5 daily diamonds) and unlimited keys, as well as 4 diamonds after each new chapter (up from 2 diamonds). Some players noted $5/week, $7/week, $10/week, $16/month, $20/month costs. The week subscription appeared to have a 70 bonus diamonds gift whereas the month subscription appeared to have a 270 bonus diamonds gift.
The official VIP subscription model is slightly modified from its beta version. It is now at the monthly rate of:

VIP Books
Editors should not remove categories that say Early Access, even if the VIP book eventually becomes available to the general public. This includes:

- Characters Part of Early Access OG Stories and Characters Part of Early Access 2.0 Stories
- Groups Part of Early Access OG Stories and Groups Part of Early Access 2.0 Stories
Challenges
On or around July 8, 2020, Choices launched "Challenges" to earn more diamonds. These challenges were in beta test-mode as only a limited number of players had received them and it had not been rolled out to the general population. As of January 21, 2021, Choices has released Challenges to all players with its newest update.
The challenges and rewards are as follows. When a challenge is completed, it may be replaced by a different and possibly "harder" challenge to complete. Some tasks are daily and some tasks are one-time challenges. With the Challenges implemented, Daily Ads have been reduced from 5 to 3.
Offers
On or around October 5, 2023, Choices incorporated their affiliates/sponsors into the Daily Diamonds/Challenge menu, where players may choose to complete offers to earn extra diamonds. This function, which was incorporated into the app on or around August 31, 2023, is also available by tapping the diamond icon located on the top left of the app's menu bar.

The Royal Romance Expansions Test
The Royal Romance, Book 1's beta test was also available to a small market beginning on or around November 1, 2019. It appeared that it was for new players (usually with a device that had never had the app before) in certain locations as well. They had only revised the first 5 chapters.[1]
This included some character changes, additional scenes (eg. A palace tour featuring a mention of Auvernal), rearranged scenes like introducing the Corgi from Book 2 immediately to Book 1's Chapter 4 - as a gift from Prince "Liam" instead of Maxwell Beaumont.
It is possible that the beta test has stopped. As of June 2020, the book has updated to include costumes worn by the characters in the beta test, but the dialogues and plot remained the same as pre-expansion period.
The Promise of Forever Regional Release
On September 27, 2023, Pixelberry has released The Promise of Forever, Book 1 to select regional markets. Due to the nature of the book using native terms exclusive to the region itself, it is not expected to be released for the rest of the countries internationally.
On March 6, 2024, The Promise of Forever, Book 2 has since been released to the those regions as well.
Book Pass
Around July 11, 2023, PB launched a new non-VIP feature called "Book Pass" to a certain number of players. "Book Pass" allows players to read as much of a book they can in 48 hours without any keys required. Players who claim the "Book Pass" before the 17th of July also receive 15 diamonds. This feature is still in its early stages however, and therefore not much is known about it or whether it functions properly yet.
Some players have reported that even though they pressed the "Let's Go!" button nothing happened, while others claim that the "Book Pass" only allows players to play pre-chosen books instead of whichever book the player chooses, and said players mention Crimes of Passion, Book 1 being the one currently.[2] It is theorised that the chosen books are at random, unread and sequels are also included even if the player does not read the previous book of a series.
Claiming the Book Pass has a timer. Players reported seeing Laws of Attraction, Book 1 as the next book being offered after the timer for Crimes of Passion, Book 1 has expired. For some, upon reopening the app, the offer changed back to Crimes of Passion, Book 1. Despite the in-game message noting 48 hours, some players reported Crimes of Passion, Book 1 only being able to be played for 28 hours and Laws of Attraction, Book 1 for 24 hours. According to other reports, some claimed Crimes of Passion, Book 1 Book Passes disappeared before their expiration.
As of the present time, all players have received this feature.
Daily passes are free, while books that are chosen by players are not free.
Choice Pass
On or around September 15, 2023, PB launched a new VIP feature called "Choice Pass". With "Choice Pass", a reader can make up to 15 premium choices without spending diamonds. With this feature, a book is preselected. The player has 24 hours to claim the pass, and after claiming it, the player has 24 hours to use the pass. Featured books included The Nanny Affair, Book 3 and Most Wanted, Book 1. If the player is in the middle of the book when the pass is activated, finishes the book without making all 15 premium choices, and restarts the book, the pass disappears, and the player is unable to make more premium choices for free.
As of the present time, all players have received this feature.
Daily passes are free, while books that are chosen by players are not free.
Chat Stories
The Chat stories were released around September 2017 and were also a test released to a small group of players. Not much information is known about them. Their game mechanics seem to have issues with coding. Only a few have been recorded for view on YouTube by Izzay Plays and Crazzy Plays.
As of the present date, the tests have concluded, and the Chat Stories were never released to the general public.
