- On the Choices Insider of October 2020, PB confirmed the book is a VIP book and will be released in late 2020.[2]

- In Chapter 1, the book issues a warning regarding its mature sexual situations, which implied your character will experience a mystical bond to both a man and a woman.
- Revised chapter 1 updates the warning to cover 'men, women, and werewolves'.
- Chapter 5 shares the same title as The Crown & The Flame, Book 1, Chapter 6, "The Duel".
- The following chapters have slightly different titles between the interface/index and the first page. On the wiki, we use the in-game first page title rather than the interface/index title:

- This book's general release (according to the projected release date of October 2021) will break the trend of VIP books being made available for all players in the order they were introduced. This is the 6th VIP book, but will be the 5th one to be released to all players.
