Relationships

Your Character

During Book 1, you are mainly "introduced" to Felicity by her daughter Zoey's anecdotes. You can use your roundabout way of "knowing" Felicity to impress Sansi Roberta.

In Book 2, Chapter 2, she becomes your mentor in Apoidea. Apoidea is a network of the most elite graduates from every top college, stretching back over a century. She states she has been a member for over thirty years and while you are capable of climbing social ladders on your own, being a member of Apoidea will help you stop clawing your way to the top. Instead, you would lead the pack and everyone else would have to play by your rules.

To prove your worth, you will have to pass a series of Apoidea challenges. Traditionally, they used Belvoire's ranking list to help determine their pick, but during your senior year, they will also be looking at X's challenge. She tells you that an Apoidean always maintains their composure, keeps their true motives a secret, and dresses to impress.

In Chapter 9, after you were eliminated from the competition for guessing wrong during the murder mystery challenge, Felicity comes to tell you that she wants to give you a second chance. If you impress them at the Zetas' bacchanalia, Apoidea may reconsider your disqualification. After all, it is the mark of a true Apoidean on how one handles failure, if one can rise from the ashes, never to fall again.

Zoey Wade

Although Zoey is fully aware of Apoidea and how its connections could help her, Zoey wants to prove to herself that she can be successful on her own. This mindset conflicts with Felicity's, who says she wants the best for her daughter and wants to help her.
