Evelyn, a character in the Foreign Affairs book, is a student at Vancross Institute and one of your classmates. Although she is first seen in Chapter 1, her name isn't revealed until Chapter 2.

Appearance

Evelyn has brown eyes, long brown hair tied in a pony tail, and tan skin. She wears a black blouse under a gray tweed blazer.

Personality

Evelyn appears more straight-laced, serious and intense than Zaira when posed together. She doesn't appreciate being made fun of and thinks Zaira is immature when the other gets in trouble and is almost kicked out of school for pranking. She is also more studious. At the hospital, she looks forward to being a positive role model for young children. She is confident and self-assured, except when she is inebriated and wonders if she is boring to others.

She states she keeps her "real" self out of reach from outsiders. By having her walls up, she finds it easier to let all the negative comments about her roll off. The downside however is that she finds it hard to open up to people.

Background

As part of her upbringing, Evelyn is a skilled equestrian and has won several dressage shows in her youth.

Relationships

Your Character

You have Evelyn in your World History and Etiquette classes. Depending on your choices, you can increase your Diplomacy points with her and make her an ally. In Chapter 10, if you gain enough points with her (and choose not to fake date her), she will come to your defense when other classmates laugh and chastise you for your scandal.

When you and your love interest are photographed at the lake by the paparazzi, you can choose Evelyn to be your fake girlfriend and have her be the face of your "mystery lover". According to Winston Torres, you need to date someone the people of Rutherland can respect. Your mom's political analyst states that Evelyn's father is the head of a conglomerate that does major business in Rutherland and also Rutherlandians want improved relations with Alexei Vukoja's country of Esherstein, giving you two options to choose from. If you choose her, you two go on a fake date and you have the option to kiss her, snuggle up to her, or refuse to put on a show for the paparazzi. If you kiss her, the paparazzi are satisfied although later she mentions that you were a bit stiff. If you snuggle up to her or refuse to put on a show, they are not convinced but she implies that kissing is what you two do in private and that you have learned your lesson not to make a public display. At dinner and the opera, she tells you that she agreed to the public relations stunt because her parents think it's a good opportunity for her to get exposure on the world stage. She also dislikes the way the press has been treating you. She knows how it feels to be judged and she has learned how to present a "perfect version" of herself for the public. You two come to an agreement: she will help you work on building up your walls while you help her figure out when it's okay to drop her defenses. She also likes your hopelessly romantic situation and wants to help you.

If you gained enough support, she tells you at the Peace Summit that she thought you were boring when she first met you. She had imagined you would be more vivacious as Rutherland's President's child. However, she quickly realized she was wrong and when the scandal broke out, "vivacious" seemed too tame a word to describe you.

Dionne

Dionne is paired with Evelyn for their World History group project. During the charity polo match, the two are on the same team together.

Henri

During the charity polo match in Chapter 5, Evelyn and Henri are at odds with each other despite being on the same team. You have the premium option to convince them to work together, or you can decide to stay out of their argument.

If you're fake dating her, she will confess that she likes Henri and that she agreed to the showmance because she thought he didn't like her but now that she thinks he does she needs to find an excuse to call off the showmance.
