Relationships
Your Character
After completing a series of suitable job interviews set up by Naya Pratt, you decide to apply for Dalton Enterprises where you can use your degree and be passionate in your career. You are surprised to interview with Evan since he is the head of the department and can impress him with your answers. Regardless of how well you do in the interview, he hires you and you are introduced to your fellow coworkers.
If you perform well at the Monte Carlo expo, he is glad you didn't completely embarrass the division. He states he had his concerns when Sofia told him that she was taking you instead of him. He doesn't seem to mind when you take initiative to divide the workload between yourself and your coworkers. Aditya states Evan was pouting the whole time you were gone.
When you are asked to meet Sam Dalton in his/her office, Evan is suspicious even though Sam's receptionist asked her to arrange the meeting with Evan and Evan said he was too busy to go.
In Chapter 15, he calls you into his office and accuses you of sleeping your way to the top. To him, it is the only explanation to why Sofia put you in charge of a project on your first day and that you went to Monte Carlo instead of him. Even if you defend yourself and state that he himself is the one who hired you, he believes it isn't hard work that got you to where you are. You are just an "incredibly lucky" person to be placed in the position to do the work.
In Chapter 16, after you and Sam decide to go public, you two go to Human Resources to disclose your relationship. You two feel that with the information in the open, Evan can no longer make trouble for you. In Chapter 17, he calls you into his office to apologize for what he had said. He tells you that HR's investigation has proved that Sofia was the one responsible for recruiting you, and he shouldn't have accused you the way that he did.
Sofia Russo
Sofia Russo is his direct supervisor. If you decide to go to lunch with Aditya Bharad to learn what you've missed, Aditya tells you that when Sofia was named CEO, Evan thought he'd be promoted from head of the environmental lab to head of the department. If you ask Sofia what's going on, she tells you that Evan has been acting like a pouty child. She brings up that productivity is down eight percent, paperwork has been neglected, and production is a month behind schedule. For those reasons, she decides to demote him and promote you to take his place.
