The good, the bad, and the almost irrelevant. They are the miscellaneous characters that are there to answer that one question, explain away that one plot hole, assist in adding development to that actually relevant character, or give that good (or bad) advice. We usually never learn their names. They are there and they are gone as soon as they serve their purpose often never to be seen again. They may not be the most memorable but definitely have a role to play. If the "No Image" picture is used, it means that the particular character has only been mentioned and has never physically appeared.

Chapter 1
Aunt Bella
She is your recently-deceased aunt from whom you inherited a rundown house on Vermillion Lane. Upon moving in, you find a note she left for you in which she calls you her favorite and warns against trusting the neighbors because they aren't what they seem. Valerie claims that the Homeowners Association remembers her fondly.
In Chapter 10, you discover she fiercely opposed the Wrights' plan to "beautify" the neighborhood by driving the working class out of Vermillion Lane. Bella and Mrs. Clifton were the only two who refused to sell their homes so Downstreet could be demolished, and you briefly wonder if she really died of old age.
Her character models resemble the versions of Terri from Immortal Desires.
Chapter 2
Police Officer
He takes your statement regarding Valerie's death and expresses sympathy that this was your introduction to the neighborhood. You hear him tell another officer it looks like Valerie died of a heart attack. His character model resembles Officer Keith from Baby Bump.
Barry
He is Kelsey's husband. If you talk to him about Valerie after her death, he reveals that she never paid his company for the work they did remodeling her kitchen two years prior. His character model resembles Yusuf Konevi from Desire & Decorum.
Woman / Valerie's Maid
You meet her if you take the premium option to speak to your neighbors following Valerie's death. She is delighted to learn Valerie died and says her comeuppance was due. She tells you that Valerie called her domestic employees "the help," never paid them on time, and frequently docked their pay for made-up infractions. Her character model resembles Mrs. Watmore from The Unexpected Heiress.
Man / Valerie's Butler
You meet him if you take the premium scene to speak to your neighbors about Valerie. Upon hearing of Valerie's death, he proposes breaking open the good champagne. He tells you that Valerie promised fair employment but instead acted like a tyrant, using her domestic workers as verbal punching bags because nothing they did met her standards. His character model resembles Mr. Barnes from The Unexpected Heiress.
Chapter 3
Marlene
She is one of your Downstreet neighbors. You meet her at the potluck where she and Kelsey gossip first about the similar deaths of Valerie Wright and Iris King, and then about Christine's alleged criminal behavior. Following Sadie's accusation in Chapter 10 that you killed Valerie, Marlene becomes suspicious that you didn't distance yourself from Carpenter as soon as you heard the rumors about him/her being responsible for the death of his/her wife. Her character model resembles a version of Your Sister from Baby Bump.
Alan
After Mari steals a pearl bracelet from an Upstreeter's home, he angrily confronts her about her renewed theft habit. He expresses concern that she'll become known as the Vermillion Lane klepto, reminds her she promised to stop stealing, and says he barely recognizes her anymore. In Chapter 14, you and Carpenter discover that Mari mostly steals items of sentimental value, such as gifts given by loving family members, and that she has no such items in her own home. This leads you to suspect Alan tends towards emotional neglect in his marriage and Mari's thefts are at least partly an attempt to fill that void. His character model resembles a version of Dad from Ride or Die: A Bad Boy Romance, Book 1.
Pie Judge
She declares Christine's blueberry masterpiece the winner of the pie decorating contest. Her character model resembles Naya Pratt from The Nanny Affair.
Neighborhood Teen (1)
If you and Carpenter choose to get frisky with a neighbor's hose, he heckles you for inappropriate behavior during a family potluck. His character model resembles Toby Meyer from Murder at Homecoming.
Neighborhood Teen (2) / Cheerleader
If you and Carpenter trespass on a neighbor's yard to play with the hose and sprinkler, she reminds you that a Mr. Lee (presumably the homeowner) has outdoor cameras. She reappears in Chapter 9 as one of the car wash college kids, where she gets excited by your promise of hard seltzers in exchange for her help. Her character model resembles Amber Hutchinson from High School Story: Class Act.
HOA Member
You overhear her talking to Allison and Alicia about Valerie's death. She learned via pillow talk with the medical examiner that Valerie's death was a poisoning, not a heart attack, and she speculates that the death of Carpenter's wife may have been similarly mislabeled. Her character model resembles Shannon Davenport from The Senior.
Chapter 4
Iris King
She was Carpenter's wife and mother of Yvette. Though she was first specifically mentioned in Chapter 2, you don't learn her name until Chapter 4. She died of a heart attack almost two years ago, although many in the neighborhood suspect Carpenter of being responsible for her death.
Chapter 5
Funeral Director
If you choose to eavesdrop on Sadie and Mayor Wright, this man asks if you've seen the Mayor. You can either send him to look in the kitchen or say that the Mayor's occupied, in which case he will hear what Sadie and the Mayor are doing and quickly excuse himself. His character model resembles Enoch from Kindred.
Chapter 6
Nosy Neighbor / Thirsty Customer
She is one of Sadie's neighbors. If you buy the premium outfit for Body Type 2 MC, she inquires if you are trying to meet someone. You then tell her one of Sadie's fantasies, and she leaves horrified. She reappears in Chapter 9 at Sadie's car wash, where she tips Vince by tucking cash into the waistband of his swim trunks. Her character model resembles Aiko Nakamura from Bloodbound.
Catcaller
He is one of Sadie's lovers. If you buy the premium outfit for Body Type 1 MC, he mistakes you for Sadie and asks to be invited in while he's on his lunch break. You channel Sadie to shut him down with catty comments, and he leaves dejected. His character model resembles Mac Hornby from Veil of Secrets.
Gerald "Jerry" Hotchmitch
He is Sadie's late husband. Upon seeing a photograph of them together, you mistake him for her grandfather. Jerry died about a year after marrying Sadie and she has been living comfortably off his inheritance ever since. Reading Sadie's black book further reveals that she considered him an easy mark and married him because he was rich, elderly, and had no kids who would fight her for his estate.
Henry Bauer
He is one of the former lovers Sadie listed in her black book. His entry is dated March 12, 2002, and describes him as a 30-year-old single bartender with great eyes and mediocre bedroom skills.
Noah Western
He is one of Sadie's wealthy lovers, described in her black book as the 84-year-old CEO of a Fortune 500 company. If you choose to read the book, and if Carpenter is male, you will learn about Noah in this chapter. If Carpenter is female, you will read about Miranda Nunez instead.
Regardless of Carpenter's gender, Noah appears in Chapter 8 as one of several elderly rich people who are intending to support Sadie's efforts to become HOA president. If you read her black book, you will recall seeing his name there, and you will reveal that she's been keeping detailed records of her sexual escapades with everyone in the group. This leads to the group reconsidering their support, and Noah later sides with the Downstreeters when they confront Sadie for only caring about Upstreet. His character model resembles Leland Bloom from the Open Heart series.
Miranda Nunez
She is one of Sadie's wealthy lovers, described in her black book as the 82-year-old heiress of the Nunez family distillery. She is listed if Carpenter is female; if Carpenter is male, you will read about Noah Western instead. Miranda only appears in Chapter 8 if Carpenter is female, as an acquaintance of Noah and part of the group intending to support Sadie's campaign. If you read Sadie's black book, you will reveal what she wrote about Noah's and Miranda's sexual preferences, thereby undermining their support for her campaign. Miranda will then join Noah in siding with the Downstreeters against Sadie. Her character model resembles Mrs. Mercado from Save the Date.
Chapter 7
Who is that?
He is the school principal with whom Kelsey is having an affair. His character model resembles Winston Reese from Crimes of Passion, Book 1.
Chapter 8
Frat Waiter
He is one of Vince Zhang's frat brothers hired by Sadie to work her election kickoff dinner. He only appears if you share a toast with Carpenter to "fraternity eye candy." His character model resembles Lorenzo Toro from High School Story: Class Act.
Old Rich Guy
He is one of the rich men supporting Sadie's HOA election campaign, with the implication being that his support is repayment for sexual favors. If you read Sadie's black book and reveal the details she's been keeping on all her lovers, he declares that Sadie has played them for fools in exchange for money. His character model resembles Curtis Thompson from Getaway Girls.
Another Old Guy
He is one of the rich men supporting Sadie's campaign. He only appears if Carpenter is male; if Carpenter is female, Miranda Nunez appears instead. His character model resembles Gerald Montjoy from A Very Scandalous Proposal.
Patrick Nguyen
You learn about him if you take the premium scene to investigate Thomas Zimmer, the mysterious bidder for the cherub statue donated to the silent auction by Mayor Wright. You quickly learn that "Thomas Zimmer" is an alias used by Patrick Nguyen, who runs a real estate business a few blocks away from Vermillion Lane. According to gossip articles, he divorced his wife and nearly lost his business due to an affair with a secret mistress, and you reach out to him via email in hopes of learning more.
You finally hear back from him in Chapter 19. He reveals that he is Vince Zhang's stepfather, and that Vince used his identity and money without authorization so he could win the cherub statue at auction. This information, combined with other evidence, helps you and Carpenter realize that Vince is the murderer.
HOA Upstreeter
She is one of the guests at Sadie's election event. She is initially happy with Sadie's plans for neighborhood improvement, but if Noah Western agrees with the Downstreeters' complaints about being ignored, she withdraws her support. Her character model resembles Marianne D'Arneaux from Red Carpet Diaries, Book 3.
Chapter 9
Upstreeter (1)
He is a satisfied customer of Sadie's car wash. His character model resembles Ellis Knight from Platinum.
Car Owner (1)
If you choose to hide behind her car in order to spy on Sadie, she asks what you're doing. Her character model resembles a version of Vivian Dalton from The Nanny Affair.
Dylan
He is one of Vince's frat brothers recruited to help Sadie with her car wash. If you choose to ask the frat for help with your rival one, he is hesitant to go back on his promise to help "the cougar" until you flirt with him directly. His character model resembles Carter Jackson from Queen B.
Makayla
She is a friend of Vince who agreed to help him with Sadie's car wash. If you ask the cheerleaders to help with yours instead, she is reluctant to abandon Vince until you flirt with her directly. Her character model resembles Sybil from The Heist: Monaco.
Cheerleader
She's one of the college kids who agreed to help Vince with Sadie's car wash. She initially doesn't want to switch to yours because it would let Vince down, but is happy to abandon his "old lady friend" Sadie once you promise to provide snacks. Her character model resembles Alexis from Sunkissed.
Jock (1)
He is one of Vince's frat brothers. He compliments your appearance if you bought the premium swimsuit, and he is immediately onboard with defecting to your car wash once you offer him cookies or beer. His character model resembles Luis Perez from Queen B.
Jock (2)
He is one of the frat brothers helping with Sadie's car wash. If you ask the boys to help yours instead, he refuses out of loyalty to Vince, but as soon as you promise refreshments he reminds the others that Sadie isn't even paying them. His character model resembles Shiloh from Immortal Desires, Book 1.

Big Tipper
He/she offers a wad of cash after your crew finishes washing his/her car, and is happiest if you allow him/her to tuck the money into your premium swimsuit. His/her gender matches the gender chosen for Carpenter. The male version resembles David from America's Most Eligible: Wedding Edition, and the female version resembles Vera Thompson from Perfect Match, Book 2.

He/she brings a souped-up convertible to your car wash and requests you give it special attention. Your flirtatious exchange with him/her makes Carpenter jealous. His/her gender matches the gender chosen for Carpenter. The male version resembles Tanuj Baruwal from Getaway Girls, and the female version resembles Zara Vyas from Slow Burn.
Upstreeter (2)
You earn his vote for HOA president after he attends your car wash. He reappears in a Chapter 11 premium scene while taking his dog Rex for a late-night walk, and you can choose whether to scandalize him by allowing him to catch sight of you and Carpenter hooking up in your car. His character model resembles Tino Thompson from Veil of Secrets.
Chapter 10
Sadie's Gardener
You overhear Sadie harshly criticizing her work, and she baffles the gardener by promptly switching to praise when she notices you nearby. Her character model resembles Lucy McReady from Laws of Attraction, Book 2.
Mrs. Clifton
She is a forgetful elderly former Downstreeter who used to live in the house next to yours. She sometimes wanders from her nearby nursing home and Carpenter is in the habit of escorting her back. She tells you about Sadie's secret history as a Downstreeter. You also learn from her about the Wrights' old plan to beautify the neighborhood by buying out the Downstreeters and demolishing most of their homes. She and your Aunt Bella were the only two who refused to sell. Her character model resembles Sorcha Flannery from Laws of Attraction, Book 2.
Ricky
He is a nurse at Mrs. Clifton's senior care facility. His character model resembles Danny Cardinal from Open Heart.
Past Downstreeter (1)
He appears in Mrs. Clifton's tape of an old news interview. He protested the unfairness of the Wrights' plan to improve the neighborhood by pressuring Downstreeters to move away. His character model resembles Mikail Greene from Perfect Match, Book 2.
Past Downstreeter (2)
She appears in the old news interview tape. She argued that the amount of money Valerie offered to buy Downstreeters out of their homes wasn't enough to cover a down payment on a new house. Her character model resembles June Price from My Two First Loves.
Jill
She is one of the Downstreet neighbors Sadie gathered to accuse you of Valerie's murder. She doesn't initially believe that Sadie grew up Downstreet, but she does believe that Carpenter killed his/her wife and that you killed Valerie. Her character model resembles a version of Anna from The Princess Swap.
Chapter 11
Jackie
She is one of your Upstreet neighbors. Following Sadie's accusation that you murdered Valerie, you inadvertently terrorize Jackie by attempting to say hello during her morning power walk. Her character model resembles Heze from Across the Void.
Nina
She is Kelsey's college-age daughter, recently returned from studying in Ireland on a scholarship funded by Mayor Wright. After you see her leave the mayor's home late at night, you suspect them of having an affair which could've been motive for one or both of them to kill Valerie. With Yvette's help, you learn from Nina's online activity that she's an experienced sugar baby and the mayor was her favorite sugar daddy. Her Irish scholarship was a lie to cover up an extended island vacation with Mayor Wright. When you confront Nina, you learn that Valerie forced the mayor to end the affair while he and Nina were overseas. He stranded her there without any money, and her return-flight information proves she wasn't in the country when Valerie died. Her character model resembles Maggie from Wishful Thinking.
Chapter 12
Trish Lawson
She is a detective and former Downstreeter. She began digging into Valerie's finances after becoming suspicious of her lavish lifestyle, and soon learned she was rerouting funds from the mayor's office. Upon becoming aware of Trish's investigation, Valerie retaliated with a campaign of sustained harassment against her. Sadie helped Valerie constantly change HOA regulations so Trish's house was never up to code, and Trish was forced to move when she could no longer afford to keep up with renovations. Trish continued to keep tabs on both women, suspects Sadie of being involved with Valerie's death, and hopes you may be able to help with her investigation. You briefly wonder if she killed Valerie to frame Sadie, but rule her out when you learn she was in court the entire day of Valerie's death. Chapter 17
News Anchor
She issues a breaking news report about Allison's death. She later reports on Vince's arrest in Chapter 20, and if you choose to call out Sadie on-camera, she's excited to see the ratings numbers for your confrontation. Her character model resembles Ellen Thompson from Wishful Thinking.
Chapter 18
Police Officer
She is one of the officers investigating Allison's death. She is also one of Vince's arresting officers in Chapter 20. Her character model resembles Minako from Perfect Match, Book 2.
Chapter 19
Rat
You encounter this creature in an old takeout bag if you look under the seats in Vince's van for evidence of his crimes. Its character model resembles one of Saffron's shapeshifting forms from Kindred.
Chapter 20
Reporter
She is one of the news anchors gathered outside of Sadie's house to report on Vince's arrest. Her character model resembles Vanessa Blackwood from Mother of the Year.
