Relationships

Your Character

You first meet Dionne in the living room of the suite you share. She tells you that she has been destined for an arranged marriage for most of her life, and as such, she will be living vicariously through you. She also self-proclaims to be your new "bestie", a title that you do not argue with her about. As your bestie, she is always willing to cheer you up and help you out of tough situations. Dionne is caring and supportive of you. She is almost always the first person to check up on you when things go wrong. You're unable to hide anything from her. She pieces together who your mystery lover is on her own and can get a solid read on your emotions as well.

Dionne shows her support after your sex scandal breaks the news. She is present at the second stop of your "apology tour" at Winston's request, but she is quick to state that she was happy to help. When you get home, you mention how you wish you could check up on your love interest. She allows you to use her phone to reach out to them. Dionne also sets up a surprise date for you and your mystery lover during your fake date.

Upon Tatum's departure she does her best to cheer you up, albeit primarily through the power of fashion. During your mother's fundraiser, she pulls you aside to express her frustration with Philip. The two of you finally address her feelings for Peter. Although she is hesitant, you have the opportunity to help her find alone time with Peter on the yacht.

Blaine Hayes

Dionne has known Blaine Hayes for years. She tells you that even though Blaine can be a little rough around the edges, he/she is not a bad person.

Peter Wallace

Dionne has known Peter Wallace for a while too. As the only two royals in their year, they are close. Dionne even references Peter in interactions with you, such as when she says she can read you like one of Peter's books. If you decide to make Dionne a birthday cake in Chapter 4, Peter is happy to help after hearing of your plans. They also share a brief intimate moment should you choose to bake a cake for her. She finds it sweet when Peter talks about spoiling his cousins' kids with children's books that he picked himself, but is a little disappointed to know Philip didn't help him. You can set the two of them up in a premium scene in Chapter 14.

During your mother's fundraiser, you tease Dionne about the dynamic her and Peter have. You mention that Peter clearly treats Dionne with respect, enjoys her company, and is always around. You also bring up the sparks that have been flying between them since the soiree. At your nagging, it dawns on her that she may have feelings for Peter. The two act on their feelings and become a couple depending on whether or not you help Dionne sneak off with Peter.

Philip Wallace

Phillip is Dionne's fiance, and they have been betrothed to each other since she was five years old. They rarely appear together, and when they do their interactions are curt and formal. At Dionne's birthday dinner, you observe that they act as though they're complete strangers. Her country's alliance with Phillip's is in danger if she decides not to go through with the marriage. Her feeling trapped in the marriage does nothing to lessen Dionne's distaste for Phillip and his business-like persona.

Dionne explains that he wasn't so unpleasant initially and has gradually become a pain to put up with. She suspects it's partially due to the upcoming wedding. She hadn't expected to fall in love, but she had hoped they could push forward as a team. She says that Philip sees her too much as a rival and not as a partner. Their interactions are bland as well, Dionne comments. She bemoans the fact that he had brought up the weather six times since they arrived at the fundraiser. She tried to liven the conversation with a little gossip, to which he made condescending remarks.

Evelyn Kassis

Evelyn Kassis is Dionne's partner in World History and they keep arguing over strategy for the debate. While Dionne thinks the key to winning is to keep the audience engaged with entertainment, Evelyn believes Professor Masako would only be interested in the facts and not a display. If you decide to help them compromise, they nail their debate against Peter and Zaira. If you don't, they are unable to resolve their differences.

Parents

Dionne's parents do not appear to be sentimental or affectionate. On the way to the State Dinner, she reveals that her parents always use her birthday as an excuse to invite important people to the palace. She believes that her parents would rather schmooze with parliament than celebrate with her. They also don't seem to acknowledge their daughter's interests. Dionne explains that her parents always buy her something expensive but generic. They even got her the same Severta crystal drop earrings two birthdays in a row. Upon Dionne's arrival to her birthday party, her parents are surprised to see her outside and not inside the palace like they had assumed.
