Cody, a character in the It Lives In The Woods book, was a student at Westchester High until his death in Chapter 7. He first appeared in Chapter 1.
Appearance
Cody has brown hair with pale skin and hazel eyes. He wears a hooded gray and red plaid shirt over a white t-shirt.
Personality
Similar to Britney and Jocelyn, he was a bully who loved harassing other students. He was shown to prefer physical bullying such as shoulder checking and stuffing people in lockers.
Biography
A student at Westchester High, Cody is a minor antagonist in the book, and is a part of a group of bullies that includes his friends Britney and Jocelyn. He is frequently creating trouble in the forms of verbal and physical abuse for the Main Character and his/her friends. This reaches a fever point in the fourth chapter, when he, with Jocelyn, assaults Main Character and Lily with his car. However, Cody and Jocelyn are sent away in fear when a large swarm of crows - sent to help Lily and Main Character by Redfield - attack them. Later on, it appeared that he developed ornithophobia, a fear of crows, from the incident.
In Chapter 7, Cody is angry at Main Character for the damage caused to his car and assaults him/her at Britney's party. When the MC returns home, they find Cody's corpse, impaled on a tree branch, visible from Main Character's window. He was impaled by Redfield, who believed that he was helping the protagonists, not realizing that they would never have wanted things to go this far. This event helped inspire Main Character to confront Redfield directly in the following chapter, wherein Cody's death is discussed and is shown to be causing tensions at the school.
In Chapter 11, several of Redfield's creatures impersonate his past victims to taunt Main Character and his/her friends. Cody was among the impersonated.

Relationships
Main Character
Cody seems to have an apparent dislike for the Main Character based on the events of Chapter 1. Throughout the story, he continuously teases and harasses him/her through physical intimidation. Despite this, Main Character becomes shaken upon seeing his corpse impaled on a tree branch outside his/her house, courteous of Redfield. According to the police, Cody was supposedly attempting to break into his/her house to harass Main Character further when Redfield pushed him off the roof. The player can choose to either feel that Cody deserved to die for being a bully, or feel sympathetic that he died in such a violent and gruesome way.
Jocelyn Wu
Jocelyn and Cody were best friends who enjoyed bullying other students physically. Cody's death clearly set her off as she began attacking everyone (except Noah).
Britney
Britney and Cody were friends who took delight in harassing other students. Cody's apparent death at the hands of Mr. Red is bound to have an impact on Britney.
