Relationships

Your Character

In Chapter 1, under the disguise of being Princess Julivert, you meet Clarke when you flee from the barrage of questions the palace staff asks of you. If you choose to escape with Clarke for a few moments longer, Clarke appears to notice a few things about you, such as your hesitancy or your ignorance of the location of the kitchens, but doesn't say anything. It takes you by surprise to learn that Clarke is the prince/princess of Ismar, and you are shocked when he/she tells King Edmond of his/her desire to formally court Princess Julivert. If you ask Clarke why he/she didn't reveal his/her identity to you, Clarke tells you that he/she thought you would have figured it out given that Princess Julivert had met him/her in the past.

In Chapter 3, Clarke explains to you his/her purpose for joining the Monterran social season. He/she has no intentions of following through with a proposal, but only told your father that because he/she was trying to build better relations between your two countries. Clarke tells you that you two only need to exchange smiles and pleasantries and in the end, you two can part ways.

As you spend time with Clarke, he/she admits that you are less annoying yet smarter than he/she expected. In Chapter 7, if you and the princess decide to eavesdrop on Clarke and Devin's conversation, she points out that Clarke seems flustered when he/she speaks about you.

In Chapter 15, you decide to throw a surprise Charity Ball in honor of Clarke's late sister, Ayda. That touches Clarke, and later during the ball, you have the opportunity to sneak out with him/her. If you do, Clarke takes you to old ruins on the palace grounds, where Ismar had tried to invade Monterre centuries ago. You have the option to kiss Clarke, but if you don't, he/she pulls back a little embarrassed. You can choose to tell Clarke that you care about him/her or keep things casual, knowing that your relationship with him/her will end soon.

Princess Julivert

In Chapter 2, when you tell the princess of what has transpired, she tells you that she and Clarke have not seen each other since they were children. Therefore, Clarke knows as much about her as you do. She expresses disinterest in Clarke while you can choose to hint towards liking him/her.

In Chapter 15, if you decide to sneak out of the Charity Ball with Clarke, he/she tells you that he/she remembers Princess Julivert as being a competitive child in her youth.

Eren

Lord Eren is a member of Prince/Princess Clarke's court and accompanied him/her to Monterre for the social season. They are also best friends. During one of their excursions in the mountains, Clarke saved Eren from an Ismari Great Bear by riding up in the nick of time and rescuing him.[1] If asked "Why do I feel like you've done this before?" in the premium Chapter 9 scene of pranking Cecil, Clarke says, "Eren and I pulled some inventive stunts when we were younger. We were basically legends among the palace staff."

Parents

Clarke has a strained relationship with his/her parents, who are sticklers for tradition while he/she strives to make a difference. In particular, he/she is unhappy with how they handled Ayda's death due to a rare form of cancer. He/she wanted to make Ayda's funeral a public event and raise funds for cancer research, but his/her parents kept it a private, family only affair, like Ismari royal funerals have always been.
