- — Charlie[1]
Charlie, a character in the Rising Tides book, is Your Character's younger sister. She makes her first appearance in Chapter 1.
Appearance
Her appearance is dependent on which of four models is chosen for Your Character. She wears a white t-shirt with sunflowers, light blue jean overalls, and a gold necklace with a sunflower pendant. Her golden yellow floral handkerchief is tied around her head or braided along her hair, depending on which model is chosen.
Personality
Charlie is a passionate person but sometimes speaks before she thinks. She feels that no one listens to her due to her age. She doesn't always think things through and makes rash decisions without considering the consequences.
In the past, she wanted to study fashion design when she reached college. Now, she feels a degree in ecology or something else would be more beneficial.

Relationships
Parents
Although your parents support Charlie, they do not want her to jeopardize her education for the sake of her ideals.
Your Character
You are Charlie's older sister. Throughout the book, you have the choice to influence her on how she approaches her goals and what type of person she becomes. Based on your advice, she will become either an inspiring Optimist, a determined Firebrand, or a tactful Diplomat.
When Warner Rafferty smears her name in an attempt to bury the initiative she is working on, you convince her to let you take the "blame" and responsibility of said initiative. You decide to release a video stating this, drawing all ire to you instead of your sister.
Principal Strickler
Principal Strickler thinks Charlie is a troublemaker who questions authority. When she tried to stage a walkout in protest of Cedarport's lack of action surrounding climate change, he takes away her phone and locks her in the building. After you free her, you two have the premium choice to go through his office before going to city hall. Later, he calls your mother and tells your family that Charlie is suspended from school as punishment for her actions.
When her family's home and business is vandalized by Monteverde, Principal Strickler shows up with the town to help clean and repair the property. Even though they both had their differences, he doesn't believe that Charlie nor her family deserved to be attacked. At the end of the book, Charlie says she talked to him about potentially graduating early and will be taking some extra classes, possibly gaining some early college credits. If she is able to, she would like to jump straight into environmental studies when she enters college.
Stan
Charlie interned at Stan's tailor shop last summer and learned how to sew from him. In Chapter 4, when you two visit him at his shop, you can convince him to offer lessons to others to keep his business going. It will change his business model, but Charlie is happy to see him try to reuse old materials in new ways.
