Mr. Cooper, a character in the It Lives In The Woods book, is an English teacher at Westchester High School. He first appears in Chapter 2.
Appearance
Mr. Cooper has short black hair, brown eyes, dark skin and stubble. He wears a pair of glasses and a pink button-up shirt underneath a gray sweater with a snake styled S on the right.
His skin color becomes gray and his eyes are yellow surrounded by black vein-like markings when possessed by Mr. Red.
Personality
Mr. Cooper is a stern teacher who doesn't take idly to students who don't pay attention in class or help others cheat. He is also very vigilant.
Biography
Over the course of the first few chapters, Mr. Cooper is shown to be suspicious of Lucas Thomas due to how he excels in all academic areas while engaging in tutoring and extracurriculars, and he begins to observe signs of drug usage in him (trembling hands and nervousness).
In Chapter 5, he confronts Lucas about this directly, and begins to organize a meeting with Principal Flores and Lucas' parents. Lucas begins to have a panic attack, barely keeping his composure, as a snake suddenly jumps out of Cooper's desk and bites him in the chest, paralyzing him and causing hospitalization, but temporarily protecting Lucas from trouble. It's later revealed that Redfield attacked Mr. Cooper because Redfield was trying to help all of his friends, and doesn't realize that they would never want this to go this far.
Cooper's suspicions were later proven right as Lucas has become addicted to focus pills, as is later revealed in-game. He is possessed and used as a zombie by Redfield in Chapter 11, to taunt and attack the group, but they overcame him. He is confirmed to have survived and is alive and well at the end of the game.
