Criminals

This category is reserved for characters who are confirmed in-game to have taken criminal action. The offense must be serious enough for it to be either explicitly stated or reasonably expected they could be prosecuted for it; minor offenses such as vandalism or trespassing would likely not apply. If a character is absolved of their crimes, either because they're judged not guilty or because the charges against them are dropped, they are no longer considered criminals.

Since PB is a US-based company, for our purposes the "criminal" label may not apply to non-human characters and those who exist outside the American justice system. This is largely relevant to fantasy and other speculative fiction titles such as Blades of Light and Shadow, Wake the Dead, and Immortal Desires. Characters from alternate worlds can only be considered criminal for breaking the laws that govern those worlds. Similarly, although urban fantasy characters like vampire hunters are generally subject to modern American law in their everyday lives, much of their behavior is governed by a separate set of standards. Such characters will not be added to this category for adhering to the rules of their own kind — for example, a werewolf hunter cannot be labeled a criminal for engaging in acts of warfare against werewolves.

As some characters may fall into a gray area, it's advised that editors check with a mod or admin if they're uncertain whether someone belongs in this category.
