Relationships

Your Character

You met Blake on your first day at Clark University in 2011, where Marcelino forced your hand up during orientation to partner with him/her in a pair of challenges to get to know your fellow students. You two became best friends, and witnessed each other have other romantic relationships and fail. One time during your university years, you two promised that if you were not married to other people by the age of thirty, you two would marry each other. Although Blake has turned thirty himself/herself and has not brought up the long-ago promise, you are turning thirty soon yourself and have thought about it. Before you can confess your feelings to Blake, he/she introduces Rebecca to you, his/her newest girlfriend, and you stop yourself from blurting out your feelings.

You can either openly flirt with Blake and try to outright derail his/her relationship with Rebecca, or hide your feelings as best as possible and remain neutral. Whichever you choose, Blake still flirts with you and you still have internal thoughts about how you feel about him/her, how you're a better match for him/her, and how Rebecca doesn't know him/her like you do. In Chapter 10, if you decide you'd like to be scaling Machu Picchu when you're 40 years old, Blake mentions that location and the Dead Sea has always been on both of your bucket lists. After Blake has broken up with Rebecca, the two of you go climbing together and once you reach the top, you talk about how beautiful the view is and Blake agrees but doesn't actually look at the landscape but only at you. That's when you take a chance and kiss Blake who kisses you back. However, Blake withdraws immediately afterwards and tells you that you need to go back. The next time you see Blake, you bring up the kiss and Blake tells you that it's too early to define what you have and asks you if you are okay with that. You notice from then on that Blake has never been that flirty with you before as he/she is now.

Rebecca is Blake's girlfriend at the beginning of the story. They first met at the Foodie Awards. In Chapter 10, after the tour guide at the winery asks about everyone's future 10 years later, Blake and she start to realize they have different plans which can be elaborated in a premium scene. After you and Blake fell asleep watching the meteor shower with you lying on Blake in your sleep, Rebecca gets angry. During a conversation you overhear between them, Rebecca tells Blake that she is is always seeing him/her spending time with you and therefore asks for a sign of commitment to her by suggesting to move in together. However, Blake declines and suggests a breakup instead.
