The Arachnids were a group of corrupt soldiers under the command of Rex Lundgren in the Endless Summer series. They first appeared in Book 2, Chapter 9.
Appearance
The foot soldiers wore full body armor complete with masks with several lights (colored blue, green, red, yellow, orange, and purple) to symbolize spider eyes.

- Given that Rourke hired them, it is possible that they are mercenaries.
- It is revealed in Book 2, Chapter 10, that Jake was a member until he found out what Lundgren was really doing and was eventually framed for it. His codename was revealed in Book 2, Chapter 12 to be Wolf after the wolf spider.
- Tetra mentions that if Rourke tries to betray them, they will kill him and take La Huerta for themselves.
- Lundgren apparently knew about the Mountain Guardian/Yeti and had a tracking device installed on her.
- Their crimes include weapons dealing and possibly numerous war crimes.
- In Book 3, Chapter 2, it is revealed that they use minature spy cameras shaped as spiders.
- Elite members are assigned codenames, always with a spider theme, while regular soldiers are assigned serial numbers.
- A "Tetra" spider is more commonly known as a "Long-jawed orb weaver".
- A "Fiddler" spider is more commonly known as a "Brown Recluse".
- Rex Lundgren's codename is "Tarantula".
- A "Mouse" spider is the common name of a genus of spiders called Missulena.
