Antoine Duval, a character in the Slow Burn series, is Everett/Yvette Flynt's professional rival. He is first seen in Chapter 2.
Appearance
Antoine has green eyes, wavy gray hair, and fair-to-tan skin. He has slight stubble on his face. He wears a white chef's jacket and blue neckerchief.
Personality
According to Everett/Yvette, Antoine is a snobby untrustworthy little weasel and an arrogant elitist. In his eyes, if someone works in a family-owned restaurant and isn't professionally trained, that person isn't a "real chef". He is shown to be very egotistical, believing that he is infallible and that anyone who disagrees with him regarding food or running a restaurant is wrong.
He is an ostentatious chef as well as a poor loser, and does not accept defeat graciously. Quyen Ngo believes Antoine is incapable of humility.

Relationships
Everett/Yvette Flynt
Everett/Yvette is Antoine's rival. Last year, they had been competitors on the cooking competition show, "The Knife's Edge", where Everett/Yvette told Antoine that he had crossed the line the day of the finale.
When you two visit New Orleans, Everett/Yvette finds out that the first restaurant he/she worked had gone out of business. Right next door, Antoine had opened a fancy restaurant to Everett/Yvette's disgust. He/she believes it was opened there on purpose to rile him/her up.
In Chapter 12, when "Taste of the World" travels to Hanoi, Vietnam to help Antoine's restaurant Le Colonial, Everett/Yvette tells you that he/she hasn't spoken to Antoine since last year. Their last memory of each other was competing on "The Knife's Edge". On that show, Antoine kept shutting down all of Everett/Yvette's ideas until the latter finally snapped.
Antoine challenges Everett/Yvette to find out who is the better cook between the two of them on his new show, "Creme de la Creme".
Zara Vyas
In Chapter 11, Zara tells the cast and crew that the production has officially hired Antoine to guest star alongside Everertt/Yvette in the next episode. Although she knows him professionally, it does not appear that they have a personal relationship.
Quyen Ngo
Quyen is the manager of Antoine’s restaurant. Antoine believes that it is Quyen and his management skills that are responsible for the restaurant's failure.
Your Character
You officially meet Antoine in Vietnam when Everett/Yvette's show tries to help Antoine's struggling restaurant. He ignores you for the most part, focusing his attention and his words on Everett/Yvette in an attempt to rile the other's temper. In Chapter 16, you are able to rile Antoine's anger instead when you and Everett/Yvette beat him on his cooking show.
Nasim Mansoor
Nasim is Antoine's fiancee. Even though Everett/Yvette believes Antoine singled her out to get to him/her several years ago, Everett/Yvette believes Antoine and Nasim have a true connection with each other.
