Despite the feud that is going on between the Mendoza and the Oakley families, specifically between Anna-Marie and Cliff, she turns up at the hospital where Cliff has had his heart surgery in Book 1, Chapter 10. Your Character notices that she has tears in her eyes as she heads toward his room and - depending on your choice - mentions that this is not the normal behavior towards your sworn enemy.
In Book 1, Chapter 14, Juliette reveals that Anna-Marie has always had a soft spot for Cliff and therefore suggests to invite her to the Oakley jubilee to help end the feud for good - and to possibly get Cliff and her together.
