Alriel is a town in The Crown & The Flame series. It is located in the Kingdom of Ebrimel, the town is well known for its workers, who are highly talented in the crafting of ships. It is not to be confused with Panrion, a neighboring city of which Kailani and/or her brother are regents.
History
The workers in Alriel are mostly shipbuilders, given their proximity to the sea. They retain jolly traditions such as drinking and dancing, albeit clandestined from the Nevrakis. Tartassis claims to provide sufficient rations to the workers, discovering Kailani's excuse of invading his house for food as a transparent lie. However, according to Raydan's account of him, his coerced productivity upon the workers are offset by his ironfisted reign, flogging thieves and punishing revelers with longer hours and more work.

Alriel was first seen when Kenna and her companions ventured there in order to gain a fleet to counter-attack against Luther and his army. The coastal city was under the dictatorship of Florian Tartassis, who treated the workers there harshly until his fall from power sometime after the Battle of the Bay.

- According to the asset loading screen, the workers of Alriel have attempted five unsuccessful rebellions against Tartassis within two years, roughly the same time King Luther became supreme ruler of the Five Kingdoms.
